  Space Grunts is a minimalistic turn-based roguelike dungeon-crawler about brave space marines sent on a mission to an alien planet to fight angry monsters using a variety of weapons and futuristic gadgets.

  There's some rough edges to Space Grunts, but a lot of that can just be attributed to a unique feel that Orangepixel has and that I wouldn't necessarily want to go away. And the overall product is a really cool blend of different styles. This still feels like a fun action game even if it is turn-based, and getting that balance right is a challenge in and of itself. For action fans who want something a bit different? Check this out.

  Overall, Space Grunts is an entertaining and fun roguelike action arcade game. I love the retro style and aesthetic, as it reminds me a lot of my childhood. The music is rather soothing, although you’re dealing with a post-apocalyptic moon-base, and the chiptune sound effects are a nice blast from the past.

  Space Grunts is solid, almost workman-like in pretty much every aspect of its existence. It looks nice, it plays nice, and is just generally nice. There are problems, it's repetitive, and you'll get angry at it sometimes, but you can't expect everything to be perfect because that's totally insane.

  Space Grunts non offre praticamente nulla di nuovo nel panorama dei roguelike ma quello che fa è mettere su schermo una raffinata interpretazione classica del genere, impreziosita da una realizzazione grafica veramente di ottima fattura.
