  Sorcery! 2, the second part of an epic adventure series, takes the formula introduced in the first game and runs with it. While its predecessor is quite short and has a mostly linear plot, this sequel greatly expands on that and lets us loose in a sprawling city full of thieves, con artists, ghosts, and traps.

  Don't want to unveil the mysteries that are awaiting in Kharé... but come closer... I'll tell your a secret: Sorcery! 2 is totally worth its price. Make yourself a favor and get it!

  If you had a good time with Sorcery!, I probably don't even need to tell you to buy this. You jammed the buy button as soon as it appeared on the App Store. If you missed out on it, I'm going to do something strange and tell you to check out the first chapter before you look into this one.

  Even so, this is very good stuff indeed, easily the equal and quite possibly better than its predecessor. If you played the first part of Steve Jackson’s Sorcery! then you already know what’s in store, and if you haven’t, you should! Then play this one, too – and don’t forget to post those kudos when you’re done.

  Crucially, even amongst such a classy interface and layout, Sorcery! 2's true strength comes from its storytelling and sheer wealth of options. As exciting to play as it once was in book form, it'll leave adventure gaming fans hankering for more even despite its significant length.

  On a gaming platform crowded with endless "free to play" clones, one company has the brave booties to release a title that digs into the past of gaming while foregoing the flash and glitziness most companies rely on to entice gamers. Sorcery! 2 certainly isn't for everyone, but, as a text adventure for the digital age, it's an experience that's second-to-none.

  Other than the brisk pace of the game and the continuing annoyance of its magic system, Sorcery 2 is an amazing and magical adventure for you to take on. If you take the time to explore it, you’ll be treated to a rich and fulfilling experience, and wish you didn’t have to wait so long for the next chapter.

  Sorcery! 2 does suffer slightly from being the second installment of a four-part series and, thus, not advancing the plot in any noticeable or meaningful way. The addition of Swindlestones as a mechanic is very welcome, however, and this remains an infectious and exciting read as a whole, if perhaps one that's over a little too quickly.
