Once through with the tutorials and early missions, you can really blast off and explore the solar system! The game gives you a massive sense of achievement being able to construct your own rocket, blast off, orbit, find a planet and land on it. It’s obviously not going to be for everyone and there’s no aliens to shoot at, but for the amateur rocket-nerd, this is a game you must try.

At the end of the Smearth day, though, SimpleRockets is a fantastic sandbox builder with logical physics and an effortlessly easy-to-use construction system. While its lack of extended guidance may frustrate players new to the genre, experienced aeronautical gamers and fans of KSP will be treated to a surprisingly deep on-the-go alternative.

Although the game is certainly not fit for everyone, and the exploration for the sake of exploration could make it quite boring. But on the other hand, it’s a great sandbox for space geeks, and fans of virtual construction sets. I’d like it even more if it, say, had an update with more ship details coming sooner or later, but it’s a great game regardless.

SimpleRockets, put simply, is a great space simulation game for iOS. It contains practically all the sim components that players would want on the go, without too many compromises. Sure there are a few control issues, but the hiccups that occur thanks to these problems can also end up creating hilarious mishaps.

A little of laws of physics here and skill there and you have one of the most original games so far. Absolutely recommendable, unless you're too much into arcade, pewpew, ra-ta-ta or kaboom gaming.

This is a great mixture of simulation and arcade elements, potentially satisfying a wide range of players. SimpleRockets will get you up into space with zero fuss - your enjoyment then relies on the amount of creativity you are willing to put into the experience.
