- Sage Solitaire is a quick card-based puzzle game where the objective is to clear a 3x3 grid of all its cards by carefully making sets of familiar poker and Yahtzee combinations, such as pairs, a straight, a full house, and so on.
Solitalker · Jan 02, 2024 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - It all comes together quite well, almost surprisingly slow. It is quite addictive, and the high score system encourages one to get in battle with self and others locally. Extra modes (past the stock two) are available via in-app purchase, as well as other goodies. When it’s all said and done, this is game that has to be played to be properly beheld. Get on with it.
Tre Lawrence · Feb 09, 2016 Reviewed on And - The colors on this game are really refreshing for a solitaire type game - they are muted instead of being so bright. The game is also quite a bit different from other solitaire games, as it combines with poker. One purchase in the app can also take away all the ads for a cheap price - which will help make this enjoyable. The only real trouble with this game is that it sometimes takes a little bit of time to open - that small glitch was fixed when the rest of the apps on my phone were closed.
Noel Catherine · Oct 09, 2015 Reviewed on - And really, where Sage Solitaire succeeds is that it does feel so great as a game that you can just pick up and play. You can easily and quickly jump into another game after you complete your previous one. It's accessible, and doesn't punish you for needing a hint, and makes it clear that you can make a move somewhere when you fail. The randomness can be harsh, but that's an inherent aspect of card games, you just have to be smart and aware of your situation.
Zach Gage · Sep 24, 2015 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - That’s the beauty of Sage Solitaire. Most sessions only take a few minutes to complete so it’s ideal for dipping in and out of throughout the day. Much like SpellTower, you’ll be keen to keep playing whenever possible.
Jennifer Allen · Sep 02, 2015 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Solitaire and its many variations have been entertaining players for more than 200 years. Sage Solitaire is just the latest twist in the genre, and, like Pair Solitaire, it’s not hard to see how much fun it could be with a real deck of cards. I suppose that’s the hallmark of a real solitaire game: despite its digital debut, Sage Solitaire has the potential to grow well beyond the borders of a touch screen.
Jim Squires · Sep 01, 2015 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Another of those titles that burrows its way into your brain and won't let go. Quick games will soon swallow hours.
