- Routine introduces you to its mechanics right away. One thing that I really like is how you can stand on your tippy toes and get under things by simply using two buttons.
· Jan 15, 2026 Reviewed on PC, Series X|S, XB1Read full review - ROUTINE delivers a meticulously crafted horror experience driven by atmosphere, restraint, and tactile design. While narrative and pacing stumble late, its immersive world and sound design make it a standout for fans of psychological science fiction.
Mahi Araf · Dec 17, 2025 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Routine is a tense, atmospheric adventure through an unforgiving lunar base where everything is out to kill you. It has its imperfections, but, in the face of the narrative and puzzle craft that beckons you through every minute of Routine, they seem infinitesimally small.
Brodie Gibbons · Dec 13, 2025 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Routine is one of the best linear narrative experiences I’ve played this year and is well worth the lengthy wait for release.
Steve C · Dec 12, 2025 Reviewed on PCRead full review - GREAT ROUTINE may have been a long time coming, but it’s definitely well worth the experience now that it’s finally here, especially for fans of the horror genre.
Joelle Daniels · Dec 12, 2025 Reviewed on PCRead full review - A lot of us have been waiting for years for ROUTINE, and some of us have been waiting for well over a decade. It's here on Xbox Game Pass, and it's fantastic.
Zachary Boddy · Dec 11, 2025 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Routine surprised me — a horror veteran — in all the right ways. Its worldbuilding feels real, the environments are rich and interesting, and its systems and controls really do immerse you.
Vikki Blake · Dec 10, 2025 Reviewed on PC, Series X|S, XB1Read full review - Routine is a survival-horror game in the lightest of senses. There are robots and creatures to run/hide from occasionally, and you have little in your arsenal to fight back, but that genre tag is a misnomer – this is a puzzle experience drenched in tension and terror. With your CAT tool and the wits you’d hope appear if you, yourself, were placed in this terrible situation, a seductive Pandora’s box of escape rooms awaits you.

Zach McKay · Dec 03, 2025 Reviewed on PCRead full review - With some very good puzzles, a solid story, and a consistently strong atmosphere, Routine is doing anything but going through the motions. You may not feel over the moon about the stealth elements, but there's not a trace of the protracted development period.
