- After the brilliance of OlliOlli World, Roll7 has outdone itself with Rollerdrome, delivering one of the most mechanically accomplished, beautifully executed, and unique arcade-style experiences around.
Richard Walker · Nov 28, 2023 Reviewed onRead full review - It’s fast-paced, it makes you feel cool as hell while playing it, and it’s ridiculously addictive. It’s one of the perfect examples of creativity still looming in today’s seemingly tired and creatively bankrupt industry.
Leo Faria · Sep 01, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - It’s too perfect a combination to not work, and I’m just glad Roll7 got to it first with Rollerdrome. This is an exceptional and welcoming game, one that takes the best elements from both genres and combines them into a sophisticated and unabashedly cool experience.
CJ Andriessen · Sep 01, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Rollerdrome is beautiful to watch and satisfying to play. I would easily consider it to be an encapsulation of what makes games special. It has gameplay that is challenging but rewarding.
Jordan Helsley · Aug 29, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Rollerdrome feels incredible, but too often, things get buried under the weight of its many systems. While even at its worst, there is definitely fun to be had here, this feels like an incredible concept for a game where the developers needed to spend a little more time workshopping what aspects of it were really needed. It’s still a good game, though, and the foundation is in place for a sequel to be truly incredible.
Andrew Thornton · Aug 23, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Its rollerskating and third-person shooting may sound odd together, but just like its stellar soundtrack, Rollerdrome finds harmony in marrying the two to create something that truly shreds.
Jonathon Dornbush · Aug 22, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - A Sublime mix of movement and combat that somehow manages unrelenting action with skillful play, all while looking effortlessly brilliant. You need to get your skates on and try your luck in Rollerdrome.
Ed Orr · Aug 22, 2022 Reviewed on PC, PS5, PS4Read full review - The story is window dressing, and the gameplay is lacking in variety. The lack of multiplayer also feels like a missed opportunity. Without it, there’s not much replayability other than an online leaderboard.
Jason Faulkner · Aug 17, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - It’s a game that truly manages to make you feel like a badass as you speedily dart around each arena while taking apart the House Players with carefully aimed attacks. Complete an event in one continuous combo and you’ll feel like a god.
Richard Seagrave · Aug 16, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - No skill trees, no unlockable abilities or experience points to grind. No obstacles between you and the exhilaration on offer. It's a game that knows exactly what it wants to be and lets nothing get in its way.
