- 7.0 Rise of the Tomb Raider is available now on PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC and Switch 2. Reviewed on Switch 2. A copy of Rise of the Tomb Raider was provided by the publisher .
· Jul 08, 2026 Reviewed on Switch 2Read full review - Rise of the Tomb Raider is a game still worth playing ten years later, but it also deserved more effort in the porting process.
· Jun 16, 2026 Reviewed on Switch 2Read full review - A visually stunning adventure with exceptional exploration and memorable tombs. Its cinematic excess and uneven storytelling hold it back, but Lara's journey remains thrilling, atmospheric, and undeniably worth experiencing.
Zahra Morshed · Jun 09, 2026 Reviewed on Switch 2Read full review - Setting foot in Croft Manor is an enjoyable afternoon experience, doubly so if you're an early adopter of PlayStation VR. While not integral to the Tomb Raider story, there's something to celebrate if you've already waited this long for the complete experience.
Kai Powell · Oct 20, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - A worthwhile follow-up to Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration is also an incremental improvement over its predecessor, with more spectacular sites to explore and sights to behold, alongside a slew of awesome bonus content. And tombs! More tombs!
Richard Walker & Dom Peppiat · Oct 18, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - None of these additions feels like entirely tacked on experiences, except for perhaps Lara’s Nightmare, which serves little purpose or replay value. In fact, in many ways they almost make the main game feel like the side content. That’s the most important aspect of the 20 Year Celebration. Just squashing content into a release for the sake of saying it has a lot of stuff is a weak strategy that gets outed pretty quickly, but Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration doesn’t have that problem.
Chandler Wood · Oct 10, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - There is another Croft Manor mission – Lara’s Nightmare mode which is the game’s answer to the zombie mode. Through the use of cards, you can tailor the experience to include such things as Big Heads. It has to be mentioned that the game’s lighting engine is put to fantastic use here as it transforms the stately Croft Manor into a haunted house. Very creepy. Very well done.
Lou Sytsma · Oct 10, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration is a fantastic package that any Tomb Raider fan will adore. The main story is possibly the best that the entire series has offered yet, and the sheer amount of additional and worthwhile content both inside the main game and outside of it with Expeditions is staggering.
Mike Guarino · Oct 10, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Bundled together with all of the content released so far, Lara’s already-packed adventure is now even bigger. And while Playing the new non-combat story mode, Blood Ties, with PlayStation VR was enjoyable (when I was in Comfort Mode, at least), and played normally it’s an interesting character study. The co-op enabled Endurance mode is also a new highlight.. For PS4 players just getting their first opportunity to play Rise of the Tomb Raider, 20 Year Celebration is a complete and amazing package.
Jonathon Dornbush · Oct 10, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Lara is growing as a character and as a game, with everything being either improved upon or expanded on. If puzzles, adventure, mystery, exploration, a race against time with an evil rival company sound exciting, and your PC can handle it, Rise of the Tomb Raider is a can’t miss experience.
