- For motorbike fans, or those looking for a lengthy motorbike experience, RIDE is for you. With over 15 tracks, 100 motorbikes and a lengthy World Tour mode, it’s good bang for the buck. The technical issues, lengthy load times, lacklustre visuals and an erratic AI should be enough to steer most gamers away this fall season. RIDE isn’t the most accessible racer on the market but when you consider its audience, there is no question it’s a niche game for a niche market.

While I didn’t play those game back in the day, I can say I enjoyed my time with Ride. It is a niche genre, but this game is well done when it comes to creating a simulation motorcycle racing game that celebrates the culture. It looks nice, plays well, and has just enough in it to make it feel like both simulation and arcade at the same time.
Drew Leachman · Oct 16, 2015 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Ride has far more good points than bad. As a motorcycle racer, it’s exciting and manages to stand out in a fairly crowded market. As a sim racing game, it’s accessible and plays like a dream right away. It is hurt quite a bit by horrendous load times on the PS4 and many players on Steam have experienced issues with it — so it might be best to wait a while before buying that version. The PS4 version is solid, though, and worth a purchase for racing fans.
Jeremy Peeples · Oct 15, 2015 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Ride is a great racing title from veteran studio Milestone S.r.l.. It manages to have depth for veteran players, while also being accessible to new racers. If you’re sick of driving cars, and want a new challenge then Ride will offer up a fun one to master.
Tyler Treese · Oct 11, 2015 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - This spiritual successor to Tourist Trophy delivers exciting and challenging racing action that's thoroughly enjoyable. However, graphics that feel more last generation than this, rather weak sound, and very slow loading times take the edge off the overall experience.
Jaz Rignall · Oct 08, 2015 Reviewed on PS4 - Pleasant to play and easy to pick up. However, the last-gen feeling and lack of atmosphere mean Ride is only a mid-pack racer.
Justin Towell · Mar 27, 2015 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Ride is a fantastic new IP for Milestone that taps into quite a niche market. The poor soundtrack and long load times are the only things that sour the experience, but this is still an exceptional foray into the joy of motorcycling. Its lengthy World Tour mode will have you captivated for hours as you strive to build an extensive collection of motorcycles and become the world’s number 1.
Rich · Mar 27, 2015 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - When push comes to shove, RIDE doesn't get the job done. Some great ideas and what was obviously a clear decision to make a love letter to motorcycle fans is plagued by technical problems. What's especially galling is that the game suffered a last-minute delay on Xbox platforms, and still ended up with glaring technical issues. There's the essence of a good game in here - make no mistake about it - but it really is very, very hard to see it with all the problems in the way.
Ken Barnes · Apr 12, 2015 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - RIDE's adequate in almost all areas, but it's never going to offer the ride of your life. There's a clear passion for motorcycles on display here, and petrol heads will appreciate the depth of the tinkering that's on offer – but the on-track experience is far too clinical to confidently capture the pastime that the developer is so enthusiastic about.
Sammy Barker · Mar 28, 2015 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - That last comparison probably best sums up RIDE, as it’s what it clearly wants to be: Gran Turismo for motorcycles. And the funny thing is it really works. Long loading times and difficulty issues aside, RIDE is an excellent game. The handling model – which does take time to get used to – is fantastic, and the AI will try to out-brake you and jostle for position realistically, and it’s all wrapped up in a great looking package. For fans of motorcycles this is a must, but even if you’re not you’ll find plenty of enjoyment in RIDE.
