- Poor performance aside, Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness is just a miserable experience that lacks any understanding of what made the anime it was based off of so special.
crispyn64 · Oct 04, 2016 Reviewed on VitaRead full review - Established fans of Psycho-Pass can revel in spending another few hours with their favorite characters and might even be considered a mandatory assignment for those interested in the CID.
Kai Powell · Sep 30, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Slight disappointments still do not take much away from what was an excellent addition to the Psycho-Pass series. It does both its genre and namesake justice, offering fans one more thrill in its dystopian society.
Andrea Shearon · Sep 28, 2016 Reviewed on VitaRead full review - A solid game that definitely has an audience. Might lack replay value, could be too short or there are some hard-to-ignore faults, but the experience is fun.
Josh Tolentino · Sep 22, 2016 Reviewed on VitaRead full review - Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness somehow manages to be an easy and hard recommendation at the same time. The story, characters and theme that worked so well in the first season of the anime return and are in top form. The antagonist might very well be the best in the entire franchise. Any fan of the series will find a lot to love here. Unfortunately, as a video game, or as a visual novel, it fails to really impress.
Mark Sammut · Sep 13, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - It could be argued that Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness is not, in a traditional sense, a game, but even so it’s unbelievably entertaining. Story gamers will be in heaven, and fans of the anime are sure to find it just as delightful. I’ve never even seen the anime and I definitely found my own happiness within the stories I experienced.
Keri Honea · Sep 12, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness brings an established franchise into the visual novel world successfully. The storyline and characters are utterly compelling, regardless of your awareness of the source material. In fact, the story was effective enough to convince me to give the show a watch. The game does, however, end up missing a few of the convenience features expected from many other modern entrants in the genre.
Marcus Estrada · Sep 10, 2016 Reviewed on VitaRead full review - It tells an engaging and thought-provoking story that deals with some heavyweight and uncomfortable subjects, and one that poses plenty of ethical dilemmas along the way. If you can get past the borderline non-existent gameplay then the narrative will probably keep you entertained for a dozen hours or so, although it may leave you wondering if this story would have been better told over a few episodes of the anime instead.
John Cal McCormick · Sep 10, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness tells a gripping and immersive story that any fan of the series would enjoy. The liberties that the creators give the player when making decisions are appreciated and enjoyable to view as the path chosen is revealed. I had some trouble figuring out the various hub prompts that showed up from time to time, but that didn’t affect my overall experience.
Azario Lopez · Sep 09, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Overall, Psychonauts In The Rhombus Of Ruin has been one of the best experiences I’ve had in VR as it gives you the opportunity to puzzle solve in a variety of settings, it is worth a play by those even somewhat interested in how I’ve described it. It brings the point and click genre into a whole new light, and is a great light-hearted VR experience which any Psychonauts fan will love.
