- Potion Permit is a cozy adventure puzzle game that tasks us with managing a workshop where we craft medicine and a quint little clinic where we treat the townsfolk of Moonbury.
Pixel Explorer · Jan 06, 2025 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - I think my love for Potion Permit comes down to the stunning world design, weird villagers and homely, whimsical charm. That and I’m not immune to being a witch doctor. Echoing what I said at the start of this review, you need to try this game! Potion Permit is stacked with a great storyline, freedom of choice but a linear progression, lovely visuals and a huge sense of accomplishment as you build relations between the characters.
Sho Roberts · Jun 27, 2024 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - There are a lot of moving parts in Potion Permit, and it does the majority of them very well, but therein lies its weakness for me. I had fun with it all, but it never excelled in any of these areas enough to become a fantastic game. For $6.99, definitely buy it and you will undoubtedly enjoy yourself and be warmed by its wholesome atmosphere, but it is unavoidably a jack-of-all-trades situation.
Shaun Walton · Feb 21, 2024 Reviewed onRead full review - Potion Permit is a great game that brings together interesting elements from franchises I love into its own charming package. The mobile version on iOS at least, should’ve been better though. Right now some interface elements don’t feel tailored to touchscreens, and the text size is too small almost across the board. I was also hoping to also see it target a higher frame rate on newer devices like the iPhone 15 Pro. Given this was done by the excellent Playdigious who have released some of the best mobile ports, I expected better. Right now Potion Permit isn’t best played on iOS, but this mobile version isn’t a bad way to play MassHive Media’s simulation RPG, especially at its low asking price compared to consoles.
Mikhail Madnani · Feb 14, 2024 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Potion Permit offers magical experience in potion crafting and is a mix of strategy and creativity, providing enjoyable mobile fun.
Jhorsnell Tunguia · Feb 14, 2024 Reviewed onRead full review - While there is a lot to love about Potion Permit, the game did leave somewhat of a sour aftertaste because of the persistent bugs. We assume that these will be patched out over time, and they didn’t entirely break the game, so if you can overlook them, then Potion Permit is certainly worth a shot.
SebastiaanRaats · Dec 15, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Potion Permit is a unique cozy game with adorable pixel graphics that will keep you busy for hours. The difficulty is relatively easy, but the gameplay is still fun and engaging.
Rachel Poli · Oct 30, 2022 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - There's a lot of promise in the game's premise but it's still a glitchy mess that drags on from slow gameplay with minimal difficulty.
Greg Delmage · Oct 30, 2022 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Potion Permit throws a bunch of ideas together, but nothing really sticks as a true standout. It forces players into heavy grinding sessions for materials and other progressions at its worst. This makes it feel more akin to an MMO or GaaS than a fitting single-player experience.
Fragnarok · Oct 15, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Potion Permit is a very, very buggy game, and from what I can tell from looking online, the Switch version is even worse.
