- The gameplay is complex and interesting, with a range of difficulties which range from easily accessible to completely unreasonable and it's startling how effectively the simple presentation can evoke a whole range of emotions. Great fun.
Josephine Lawton · Oct 29, 2015 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - For fans of the original it’s a chance to play a good game on a much bigger screen and get down to the real nitty gritty of total organ failure, but it won’t be a substantially new experience. For newcomers to the world of strategic pathogens: proceed with caution. The majority of content is locked off until you’ve completed the early stages, and this is not an easy game to master by any means – especially when Greenland closes their port earlier than you were anticipating.
Alice Bell · Oct 02, 2015 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Although there’s certainly an active element at play, the long periods of waiting meant I’d need some other form of media playing in the background just to feel comfortable. It’s a minor downside to end the review on and one that can easily be swept aside for those who game and multitask anyway. Let’s not forget, that’s how a majority of mobile games are consumed so it should come as no surprise that the same is true of Plague Inc. Evolved.
Jim Hargreaves · Jun 20, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - This shouldn't be overlooked by RTS fans, or even fans of "idle" games. It holds together well enough, even if a few kinks hold it back from greatness.
