- Ace Attorney Trilogy is a collection of three visual novel games about the wacky adventures of a fresh-out-of-law-school lawyer called Phoenix Wright. Playing as Wright, it’s our duty to defend our clients, conduct investigations, cross-examine witnesses, find clues, and, ultimately, figure out “who dun it?”.
MisterGrinch · Aug 10, 2022 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - The Switch version remains the most feature-complete thanks to offering both touch and button control options with its hybrid nature helping out even more with flexibility in playstyles. I’m hoping controller support and some wallpaper options can be added to fill up the black bars, because a premium priced release shouldn’t feel like bare-bones console to mobile conversion.
Mikhail Madnani · Jun 15, 2022 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Overall, Ace Attorney Trilogy wholeheartedly proves its worth as a remaster. The story still stands up today and balances goofiness and sincerity in a fun and enchanting way. The gameplay is slow but wins over its audience. The graphics are heavily improved from its myriad predecessors, and the music is brought to life in just the right way. Sure, there are some slight slip-ups here and there, but this game is a gem that's worth playing from the pantheon of games, especially those in the visual novel genre. At this time, the defense rests.
Joseph Doyle · Oct 03, 2019 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Remastering or remaking a game presents a unique opportunity to not only introduce a classic to a new generation, but to do so in a way where it has an identity of its own, and in this regard I think Capcom came up short.Despite feeling that this was a bit of a missed opportunity, the Phoenix Wright Trilogy on the Switch has now become my recommended way to experience this classic story thanks to its various quality of life updates and solid price point.
Jae Lee · May 21, 2019 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - It is a shame Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy doesn’t do anything special for today’s age of gaming, but everything that is done, is flawless. The graphics aren’t anything special, but they are crisp and get the job done. While I wish more were added, such as rotational storytelling, the franchise itself might need a possible reboot to better fit in with modern-day elements.
Seth Cano · May 16, 2019 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Phoenix Wright's story and humor stand the test of time, but the graphical upgrades do it no favors. While voiceovers would be appreciated, the sound effects and dialogue are creative enough to make up for it.
Courtney Ehrenhofler · Apr 19, 2019 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - A stunning remaster of one of the greatest game trilogies of all time. Whether you've played them before or just want to relive the magic, this is definitely worth picking up.
Brad Lang · Apr 18, 2019 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Just what a visual novel should be—fun characters and the rush of solving mysteries make you eager to keep going.
Malindy Hetfeld · Apr 13, 2019 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Phoenix Wright’s courtroom sojourns pack every bit the punch now that they did almost two decades ago. Any opinion to the contrary merits a very loud and emphatic objection.
Shubhankar Parijat · Apr 11, 2019 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy has been charged on the counts of – highly entertaining and delivering players with a trio of excellent games. On these charges, the court finds the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy guilty. Capcom has also been found guilty on the lesser charge of providing players with three games for an affordable price and for offering gamers a great value.
