- Format release concerns aside, Dual Destinies is a smartly-crafted, fantastic-looking Phoenix Wright game that you'd do well to pick up, especially since the first episode is free. You'll want to blaze through the rest at a breakneck speed -- so don't blame us if you rack up a small App Store debt!
Brittany Vincent · Aug 15, 2014 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - There's just a certain lack of heart to it all, something that is perhaps unavoidable in narratives that are forced to go beyond their planned boundaries. It's such an incredibly safe sequel in all the ways that count that it's hard to get too thrilled about it. It's more Phoenix Wright, just like we all wanted, right?
Shaun Musgrave · Aug 15, 2014 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies is a fantastic interactive visual novel full of drama, humor, and mystery. It’s easy to pick up but hard to put down as you become embroiled in the defense of your clients. While many of the references might be lost on newcomers, for longtime fans of the series it’s great to see this excellent game brought to iOS.
Jessica Fisher · Aug 14, 2014 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - If you’ve made it through Justice and Wright’s previous misadventures you’ve likely already learned to cope. If not, this probably isn’t the best place to start anyway, as it really helps to know the characters ahead of time. If you’re one of the former, however, this is an excellent new addition to the franchise, and perhaps the best version of the game so far.
Steven Strom · Aug 14, 2014 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Graphics are great, perfect for fans of manga style. Animations and controls work perfectly well and we've had no problems regarding functionality.
Anna Grace · Aug 06, 2014 Reviewed on iOS - ...is another great game in the Ace Attorney series and superb welcome back to Phoenix himself
Jason Jasicki · Nov 05, 2013 Reviewed on 3DS - Dual Destinies won’t convince sceptics, as it’s still more visual novel than game and about as linear as it gets. But after a couple of disappointing spin-offs, it’s the closest the series has come to the greatness of the original trilogy.
Olly Dean · Nov 01, 2013 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney — Dual Destinies is a success. Yes, it feels like more of the same, but for a series that has yet to put out a bad title, that shouldn’t be viewed negatively. The writing and dialogue is extremely intelligent and razor-sharp. Moreover, the characters are infinitely entertaining, giving players one of the franchise’s strongest casts to date.
Bradly Hale · Oct 27, 2013 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - While some might turn their nose up at Capcom’s decision to go digital-only with Dual Destinies, it’s actually one of the best decisions the publisher has made in years. It’s limited western appeal and niche gameplay, Dual Destinies arrives as the genuine article, a Japanese specialty wonderfully translated for just a handful of Capcom’s usual market reach. It’s not the strongest entry in the series but Dual Destinies strong production values breathe new life to its signature moments and its mad yarns are just as bold.
Matthew Davies · Oct 24, 2013 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies won’t change anybody’s minds about the series’ brand of narrative-heavy, gameplay-light adventuring, but longtime fans will be thrilled by the full docket of goofy legal twists and turns and fun characters. It’s an acquired taste, but one that can be savored in its gorgeous debut on 3DS.
