  There’s plenty to like in Pharaonic, including fantastic visuals, interesting (albeit repetitive) character design and moment-to-moment gameplay that is hard to beat. The development team has somehow managed to make a Souls-style game accessible, with one less dimension. Ambitious achievements like this are fairly rare, especially for such a young studio. And to imagine that this was done on such a small scale is genuinely remarkable. I would highly recommend giving this experience a look if you’re looking for the next chance to be reminded how you suck at games. Git gud, man. Git gud.

  Despite its flaws, I had a lot of fun with Pharaonic. The beautiful world and reaction-based combat are genuinely enjoyable. However, the lack of enemy diversity, the tedious backtracking and the questionable checkpoint locations seem like design missteps. Ultimately, the right person might find these negatives as insignificant. To those who fall in this category, then Pharaonic might just scratch a particular itch for you. For under $20, it’s a worthwhile romp through the desert.

  Pharaonic es una experiencia bastante personal en lo que a combate se refiere, aunque la gran dificultad de que hace gala nos provocará deseos de lanzar el PC por la ventana. Un juego bien ambientado, con algunas carencias técnicas, pero que nos da la profundidad necesaria para que queramos seguir jugando, probando combinaciones, y llegando hasta el mismísimo Faraón Rojo para darle su merecido.

  Sin destacar en ninguno de sus aspectos es un juego que garantiza diversión, y al que podemos achacarle unos controles mejorables y un modelado de personajes un tanto deficiente. En reglas generales se trata de un juego divertido y que nos brindará varias horas de combate arcade y personalización de nuestro personaje. Por el precio que tiene, de 13 euros, no se le puede pedir mucho más.

  Un título que ha pasado por un intenso testeo por parte de los jugadores gracias al Acceso anticipado de Steam, y se nota. Es muy entretenido, difícil y técnicamente está a la altura de lo más exigentes… siempre que no lo comparemos con juegos de millones de euros de desarrollo. Recomendable para todos los que buscan un reto en su ordenador.
