    Different modes leave you playing villain and hero in this game where you have to protect or go after the generators. Weapons, hands, teamwork, and some quick thinking are the only things you have on your side. Going against you will be better players, stronger men, and some darkness.

    It’s hard not to love the graphics. The gameplay environments morph from light to dark and in-between, but the basic gameplay remains the same. ...In the end, the game provides enough action, so much so one has a chance to get over any such misgivings.

    Overkill 3 seems to be the victim of an identity crisis, one where it wants to be something different than what it was, but is too afraid to try anything innovative. The result is a decent shooter that suffers from some questionable design decisions. If you like shooting games, it might be up your alley, but ultimately I found it hard to be impressed with what Overkill 3 brings to the table.

    There's no energy system here, but Overkill 3 is clearly balanced to make you spend. But it's not too unfairly skewed, and there's still a lot of dumb shooty action to enjoy. This is a a shooter with absolutely no brains. It's skittish and often sloppy, and sometimes it'll make you want to mash your face into a table. But, when it fizzes into life, it's also a lot of fun.
