- The next-gen version NMHIII may still look a bit dated when it comes to the overall quality of the graphics, but the gameplay is enjoyable and the technical issues that were present in the Switch version are not present here.
Ibuki · Oct 28, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - There’s no re-invention here – if you got a kick out of the earlier games, then there is plenty for you to enjoy this time around. It might get a little stale as you fight a group of enemies in a Designated Fight for the umpteenth time, but at least you’ll look stylish doing it.
Paulmichael Contreras · Oct 12, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - No More Heroes 3 is a solid return of the cult classic series, and one that fans will not want to miss out on. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but give this geeky assassin a chance and you might just be won over.
Jamie Collyer · Oct 10, 2022 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - The beam katana can be charged up with repeated right-stick flicks. And when you find your groove in battle, you’ll feel unstoppable - with sword attacks, dodging and blocking abilities, wrestling takedowns and more. Be prepared for all sorts of crazy battles and scenarios to play out as well, as the game keeps you guessing. It’s got a fun soundtrack, too.
Liam Doolan · Oct 08, 2022 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Santa Destroy is a sparse, fairly unremarkable place, but, then, Grasshopper's game isn't all that concerned with exploration, instead providing a compelling enough way to connect its various combat encounters – and, really, the superlative combat is the main draw.
Richard Walker · Oct 07, 2022 Reviewed on PS5, PS4Read full review - No More Heroes III is capable of providing an overload of gorgeous, chaotic fun. With combat this good, it’s a shame that the rest of the package feels so woefully outdated at times.
Shane Boyle · Oct 06, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - The lack of performance problems make it so much easier to enjoy its wide variety of combat encounters, eclectic minigames, and zany story sequences. It comes at the cost of its other flaws becoming more pronounced, but it’s still a brash and daring passion project from a Grasshopper Manufacture that continues to do whatever it desires.
Christian Kobza · Oct 06, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - No More Heroes III could have been great. Its visuals, performance, and combat system are all massive improvements over its predecessors. This game had all the ingredients to become a hack ‘n’ slash classic, but Suda51 had to shove it, nay, drown it with arrogance, self-indulgence, and some of the unfunniest “humor”.
Leo Faria · Oct 06, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Textures are simple and bland, jaggies are everywhere, and animations lack smoothness and complexity. No More Heroes 3 has a distinct and eye-popping art design. It’s a collage of 8-bit videogames and comic books side-by-side with cheesy television staging.
Mark Steighner · Oct 06, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - No More Heroes 3 is pretty much more of the first two games with a new coat of paint. All of Grasshopper Manufacture’s wild action, bizarre storylines, and offbeat characters are present and accounted for, as is the often-tedious grind needed to progress to the next high-octane boss fight.
