- There's just so much more attention, care, and time that seeps through the pores of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2's entire package. It's just a stark difference from where the first game began, and a tease of the kind of bright future this series is heading in. It's just a lot more fun to play than the first title, and it's only going to get better as the weeks roll on. It already feels like a complete package, and while there is still some stiffness is how it plays moment to moment, Nickelodeon fans will definitely want to seek this out for some party fun.
Nick Valdez · Nov 08, 2023 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Unfortunately, these issues make the product feel cheap, which does the quality of the actual fighting a tremendous disservice. Again, it’s the best Smash clone we’ve ever played – we just wish Nickelodeon had shown some confidence in it.
Stuart Gipp · Jun 01, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - The game is a contender, but some serious effort in more than a few areas needs to be done if Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl or a potential sequel wants to be taken more seriously.
Cody Medellin · Dec 01, 2021 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - My online sessions were smooth most of the time, but like anything else it can be hard to find matches considering how few people are playing regularly. Sadly, this could have benefitted from cross play, which should be a standard by now.
Ken McKown · Nov 12, 2021 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl almost feels as if it was sold on the sheer premise of reviving Melee with Nickelodeon characters. On the fighting end, it mostly succeeds, but due to a lack of polish, cut corners and just a cheap feel, I’m skeptical how long this game can keep your attention.
Willem Hilhorst · Oct 28, 2021 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Nostalgia fills the air in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl now that it is out on Xbox. On one hand this is the closest the Xbox will see to Super Smash Bros. and on the other hand it’s full of classic Nickelodeon cartoons and I love a good crossover. This will no doubt be a fun time with friends or kids alike as long as you know that the base content can be had very quickly and thus the repeatability could become a bore. If you are in it for the long time this is a fine brawler to pick up.
Corey Lyle · Oct 22, 2021 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is superb for its genre. Its gameplay and combat are fun in all the correct ways. Nickelodeon fans will most certainly enjoy playing as their favorite characters growing up, including Spongebob, Aang, CatDog, and Danny Phantom, among others.
Rhett Roxl · Oct 21, 2021 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - The long and short of it is that if you’re a fan of Nickelodeon and Smash, this is absolutely worth it, but it might take some time to flesh out the sturdy fighting skeleton with some Mr Meaty.
George Foster · Oct 19, 2021 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl might be 2021's most kneecapped game. An odd Kid's Choice Award to hand out, but it captures the essence of an otherwise sincere effort being damaged by slimy timeline & pricing expectations. It's an over-priced game that was unfit to launch like this while also having a solid foundation to build upon. Its current state leaves me in two disparate states of mind: one emphasizing the silly fun these teams successfully crafted and the other reeling over such a messy launch. For now? Block your wallet until you find a better opening.
Lee Mehr · Oct 18, 2021 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is obviously in no position to take the platform fighter throne right now, but I think the teams at Ludosity and Fair Play Labs have created a very good blueprint for what could be a very great franchise.
