  NHL 25 isn’t great. While there are welcome changes this time, almost all of them are cosmetic, or menu-oriented. Ultimately, that’s what this iteration amounts to: a hyper-fixation on presentational components. Where are the new game modes? Improvements to the controls? Sure the game looks great, but wouldn’t it be awesome if it played great as well?

  Per essere il primo gioco current-gen della serie NHL il risultato è agrodolce: ci sono stati degli innegabili passi in avanti sia a livello grafico, sia a livello simulativo e di gameplay, ma la stessa cosa non si può dire lato contenuti e modalità. Probabilmente a EA Vancouver serviva più coraggio e tempo per proporre qualcosa di nuovo: per ora NHL 25 resta ancora prigioniero del suo glorioso passato.

  NHL 25 je stigao, još jedno izdanje u dugovečnoj franšizi EA Sports-a, i iako donosi neke novine, ne može se reći da je napravio veliki iskorak u serijalu. Dok su tehnologije poput Sapien i Ice-Q bile predstavljene kao revolucionarne, stvarnost je više kao gotov proizvod iz reklame, ali u “kineskoj kopiji”. Ako ste igrali prethodne verzije, videćete da je ova igra više kozmetička nadogradnja nego pravo osveženje. Iako Franchise mod dobija solidne promene, ostatak igre deluje kao slaba nadogradnja prošlogodišnjeg izdanja. Ako ste strastveni ljubitelj hokeja i NHL serijala, možda ćete uživati u ovim poboljšanjima, ali za većinu igrača NHL 25 jednostavno ne donosi dovoljno razloga za kupovinu u odnosu na prošlogodišnji naslov.

  EA Sports NHL 25 fails to deliver on the promises it sets in the new features that EA swears are improvements. It's another example of an entry into an annualized sports game series that doesn't feel like it's doing anything differently from the last year, but at least in this case last year's (and by default this years) game is fun to play.

  Verdikt? NHL 25 je dobrá hokejová hra, ktorá sa hrá asi najlepšie za posledné roky. Ak ste predchádzajúce ročníky nehrali, dajte si pokojne známku aj 8,5/10. Ale nezaslúži si ju. Toto nie je hra. Toto je trošku väčší update za strašne veľa peňazí. Myslím si, že už je čas, aby sa v EA Sports zamysleli nad tým, čo chcú vlastne so sériou NHL robiť. Lebo ak nemajú budget a kapacity, ktoré by virtuálnemu hokeju chceli venovať na to, aby to bola každý rok poriadna hra s hernými aj obsahovými novinkami, fakt stačí priniesť jednu novú hru raz za 4 roky a pomedzi to vydávať expanzie s novými sezónami.

  EA rilascia per la prima volta NHL 25 unicamente per le console di nuova generazione, lasciandosi alle spalle gli hardware precedenti e aprendo le porte a cambiamenti e miglioramenti di cui la serie aveva bisogno. NHL 25 introduce un buon numero di caratteristiche che lo isolano dalla versione precedente, tra cui spiccano ICE-Q e una modalità Franchise rinnovata. L'esperienza di gioco è notevolmente diversa, poiché il team di sviluppo si è concentrato sulla creazione di una maggiore fluidità. Il risultato è decisamente migliore e senza dubbio il migliore di questa generazione, eccezion fatta per un sistema di passaggi rivedibile.

  There’s no denying that the action on the ice looks better than ever in NHL 25, and it’s nice to see Franchise Mode get some welcome changes that help it feel more authentic for those interested in the sim experience. But when I look at this year's entry as a whole it's quite lackluster, with very few meaningful mechanical changes that ultimately just leave it feeling like more of the same as last year. For being the first NHL game available exclusively on current-gen consoles, it’s a shame that NHL 25 is still stuck in the same last-gen rut.
