    NeonLore’s overall quality is inconsistent, and for every beautiful vista there’s an equally awkward graphical anomaly. Yet, for all it lacks, the game’s thesis does come through, and it will undoubtedly appeal to cyberpunk fans interested in exploring a frozen moment in the terrifying world of tomorrow.

    NeonLore as a concept is an intriguing one. A combination of mediums – a game that’s less interactive than a walking simulator and audio books that benefit from a visual component to set the vibe – is a unique prospect. It’s such a shame that the developers couldn’t really follow through in terms of quality. It looks the part, sounds excellent and understands what makes the Cyberpunk theme so special. There’s just far too many rough edges and easily avoidable issues that mar the experience.

    NeonLore is a stroll through a cyberpunk showreel with the satisfaction of some achievements as you do so. There’s some scraps of gameplay and dialogue but they’re nowhere near as good. They’re mostly just waypoints to point your cursor at and walk towards.
