- NBA 2K22 is once again a crowdpleaser and fans of the series will find a lot of content at their disposal. Even though in many countries in Europa basketball is not getting the same attention as football, we very much enjoyed the experience and love that this game is so polished. Each match looks very lifelike and the game offers a good story mode and a lot of things to do in the various game modes.
Nickskuh · Oct 18, 2021 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Overall, it feels like 2K is looking into ways to convince people to spend real money in the game, and this is something that many players might not be willing to do, especially after spending dollars on purchasing the game itself in the first place.
Bogdan Popa · Oct 16, 2021 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - NBA 2K22 is another good entry in the fantastic NBA 2K series. Its reworked shooting mechanics, impressive visuals on Switch, and loads of NBA content will keep any basketball fan’s attention for hours on end. While many modes received no noticeable additions, and there’s a heavy desire for spending money on microtransactions, NBA 2K22 is still a must-play for Switch basketball fans.
Jesse Taylor · Oct 07, 2021 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - NBA 2K22 definitely hasn't earned a foul of any type, but may not quite win a championship either. Let's say that NBA 2K22 won its conference title and might have made it to the finals, but not an NBA Championship this year. There's always something else to improve before championship status can be awarded. NBA 2K22 is much improved over the NBA 2K21 edition. As with most all yearly serial sports franchise computer games developing a completely new game engine takes a lot of work and time, work that probably couldn't be completed with the years.
Howie Howard · Oct 07, 2021 Reviewed on PCRead full review - NBA 2K22 has a few things that make this upgrade feel worthy. The new play mechanics are excellent, and it continues to excel on the presentation front. The microtransactions are still super gross and I wish some of the other modes such as Blacktop would get a proper overhaul as they are starting to feel dated.
Ken McKown · Oct 05, 2021 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - NBA 2K22 is generally a beautiful representation of next-generation console hoops, but it's a little disturbing that many of the newest things I noticed didn't have a whole lot to do with basketball. The on-court product is good, but it's not perfect. Basketball is still my favorite sport to watch, and I love the game, so I'll keep playing, but I can probably put the music and fashion career on hold — and I don't need to spend any more money.
Redmond Carolipio · Sep 30, 2021 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - NBA 2K22 is a great game in pretty much every other facet, which helps to overshadow the VC issues that have been present for years now. Combining MyCareer with The City was a genius decision and the introduction of Seasons across multiple game modes will keep NBA 2K22 fresh moving forward throughout the next year while waiting on the next annual entry.
Dean James · Sep 27, 2021 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - NBA 2K22 is easily the most visually impressive sports game on new-gen consoles — to date — and it is stacked with so many fun things to do for both the hardcore and the casual basketball fan. Visual Concepts gives proper reverence to the stars of the past and highlights the young up-and-comers. Sure, the game stumbles in its attempts to create a more realistic on-court experience, but, as with all things, it gets better and easier to play with practice.
Jon Hueber · Sep 27, 2021 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - While it may be generally the same game as last year, If you skipped out on last year’s edition of NBA 2K this may be the year for you. Mechanically the game has improved and other than having to pay for VC to compete against other players I think you’ll find some enjoyment in playing My Career games or just with some friends.
Varnell Harris · Sep 25, 2021 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Overall, NBA 2K22 is a hugely satisfying experience and one that will no doubt keep you busy for a long time to come. If NBA 2K is your one game for the year, there's every certainty that it will have enough options, modes and gameplay experiences for you to cover your entire year. The basketball gameplay is magnificent, the visuals and audio are too... now 2K just get rid of the overly offensive microtransactions and advertisements... please.
