- Moss: Book II is a genuinely emotional, surprisingly creative, and incredibly gorgeous follow-up to its critically acclaimed predecessor. Book II takes the themes and gameplay ideas from the first title and nearly perfects them and in doing so has created a longer, more difficult, and more fulfilling adventure for Quill.
Richard Allen · Apr 12, 2023 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - It’s pretty impressive what Polyarc has done with Moss: Book 2 on the PSVR 2. The number of new features they could incorporate into a game designed before the haptics and eye-tracking were available is very encouraging. I can’t wait to see how new games take further advantage of the new PSVR 2 tech.
Lou Sytsma · Mar 06, 2023 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Polyarc has done an outstanding job with Moss Book II and I never thought I could get so emotionally attached to an adorable mouse like Quill. An immersive world and lovable main character are only the cherries on top of what otherwise is a solid VR puzzle-action-platformer game.
Henry Yu · Mar 06, 2023 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - It expands gameplay in new and fun ways and immerses you in its fairy-tale world quite effectively. While it's a fun and highly polished affair, it still plays it a bit safe in some regards, but that's easy to forget when the end product looks and plays this well.
Andreas Salmen · Dec 02, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Book II might not boast the widest breadth of content nor insane mechanical complexity, but a rare few titles can dare to match its earnest warmth and overwhelming charm.
Lee Mehr · Aug 01, 2022 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - The puzzles and fights grow gradually harder at a rate that eases players into it. With more boss fights, different environments, and new weapons, Moss: Book 2 is a fantastic game, and it's a worthy follow-up to Polyarc's highly praised debut title.
Jamie Russo · Jul 21, 2022 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Moss: Book 2 is still a quality puzzle platformer that can be finished in just a few short hours, providing folks with light puzzle-solving and a pretty emotional adventure.
Greysun Morales · Apr 16, 2022 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Moss: Book 2 is a big, bold adventure about a stunningly well-realized tiny mouse. It effortlessly uses perspective and framing, married with incredible animation, to create a bond with a virtual creature to an extent that hasn’t been achieved since The Last Guardian, while also being a perfect showcase of everything Sony’s first foray into virtual reality is capable of. A dream-like experience that lingers long after the credits roll, your mythic connection to this realm and its minuscule inhabitants not quite severed.
Siobhan Casey · Apr 11, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Moss Book II is a game very deserving of your attention. Its novel use of VR as a medium is fascinating and helps to tell a heartfelt story with you and the adorable Quill at its center. It’s bigger and better than the first in many ways, but is greatly held back by small yet consistent and progress blocking bugs.
David Flynn · Apr 09, 2022 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Moss: Book 2 is an exemplary sequel that provides more of what I loved about its predecessor. Building upon the original with new weapons, clever puzzles, and a vibrant storybook setting, the premise remains entertaining four years later even if none of those additions truly try to innovate on it.
