- Since its launch, Rita’s Rewind has received neat free updates including an optional Ranger leveling system to create character variety, and gameplay modifiers such as adjusting game speed and even gravity. These changes freshen things up and add more agency to how players tailor their adventures. As it stands now, Rita’s Rewind doesn’t shatter the genre’s mold. The action is a step above many contemporaries, but still falls prey to the genre’s inherent monotony and the Zord segments can be irritating at worst. But if you’re a ‘90s kid itching to pull out your Morpher one more time, Rita’s Rewind is the Rangers’ best cooperative outing to date.

Ken McKown · Jan 15, 2025 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Even though I was disinclined to watch the ‘90s TV show, I have a more favorable opinion of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind...and "rewind" is definitely what we get.
· Jan 13, 2025 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Rita’s Rewind is an enjoyable throwback that Power Rangers fans will appreciate, but its frustrating flaws prevent it from becoming a standout in the beat-'em-up revival.
Paul Collett · Dec 11, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Rita’s Rewind is well worth checking out if you’re a fan of Power Rangers or retro-style tributes to the beat ‘em up genre. It also offers up some great fan service and nostalgia, with its super scaler segments mixing up the gameplay with all sorts of blockbuster arcade scenes that do a respectable job honouring the source material. And hey, if you’re a lapsed Power Rangers fan, the memories should come flooding back in no time! This truly is a great way to mark the series’ 30th anniversary and goes to show just how much fun this franchise can still offer after all these years. So go, go Power Rangers!
Liam Doolan · Dec 09, 2024 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Rita’s Rewind doesn’t quite stand toe to toe with the greats of the genre, even the modern ones, but it’s still a very worthy entrant into this classic genre still in the midst of a high quality revival.
Nick Baker · Dec 09, 2024 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - There have been other attempts over the years at making an impact with a Power Rangers game, but none of them (even the quite solid Battle for the Grid fighting game) have quite had the aggressive sense of style Digital Eclipse brought to the table here. With a few little tweaks and perhaps some additional content over time, Rita’s Rewind could really be a badge of honor. And even as it is now, it’s miles ahead of that Space Jam game.
Lucas White · Dec 09, 2024 Reviewed on PCRead full review - As a fan of Power Rangers, I especially enjoyed Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind. It’s a faithful and nostalgia-filled adventure full of colorful visual design, amazing voice acting, and challenging arcade action. While I do feel it’s not as well-tuned for single-player experiences, this is a wonderful game to play with friends. If you’re a longtime fan of the iconic characters, you’ll find something to adore in this love letter from Digital Eclipse.
Josh Speer · Dec 09, 2024 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind is a warm dose of nostalgia, a highly amusing, varied and reverentially detailed step back in time.
Sean Smith · Dec 09, 2024 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind is a small, but well-rounded package that Power Rangers fans should adore, and unfamiliar friends can enjoy alongside them. Rita’s Rewind would have been a hit in late 90s arcades, and its competence and love for the source material means it should find an audience today alongside the Once & Always special it sprang from. Even if its competitors do what it does better, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind is still a rollicking good time that no one will regret experiencing.
