  Nearly 14 years after first bursting onto the scene, Melty Blood has aged to the point of near-perfection. While a few aspects of the package leave something to be desired, the fact remains that, at its core, this is a supreme fighter with a diverse roster and deep, compelling mechanics that merit your attention.

  Despite its age, Melty Blood is a deep and engrossing fighter with a lot to offer. Whether it’ll have a lasting place in this ever shifting anime fighters market is unclear but I’m glad to see it finally released in the States all the same.

  It’s time for fighting games to improve. The lack of tutorials and necessary information wouldn’t be accepted in any other genre, and yet the community seemingly gives games a pass on it. Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code should be a much better game than it is, as the base game is very solid. It’s disappointing to see a strong base and nothing supporting it.

  Overall Melty Blood: Actress Again Current Code is a pretty solid port of the game. It’s a shame some modes were removed within and though good, it’s far from what I’d consider a pefect, “definivitive” version. It would have been nice to have a little more of the story be present here to add further atmosphere, however at it’s heart, Current Code is strictly a game for the fans of the series.

  Melty Blood maintains all of the charm and polish that made it so popular in the fighting game community all those years ago. Long-time fans finally have an official way to enjoy this cult classic, and it’s an almost museum-like look into an iconic chapter of fighting games. Despite a lackluster package surrounding the awe-inspiring gameplay, it’s a game that has stood the test of time and people who are passionate about fighting games owe it to themselves to pay it a visit.

  Melty Blood: Actress Again Current Code is a well-crafted title that highlights the best features of Japanese style arcade fighters. The simple, yet complex to master, systems keep the game rewarding. With the inclusion of online and offline VS modes, this stands out against other anime-style 2D fighters available through Steam and its lifespan is increased tenfold.

  En cuanto al aspecto sonoro, es un juego que funciona realmente bien. Hay una buena variedad de temas para cada personaje, de manera que algunos están usando un elegante jazz, otros prefieren un pegadizo tema de música electrónica, mientras que otros prefieren canciones que bordean el humor, y otros en cambio tienen la seriedad de una pieza religiosa.

  Hinsichtlich Kulisse, Mechanik und Umfang wirkt Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code zwar altbacken und ist mir "zu" alte Schule, doch das Kampfsystem funktioniert dennoch gut. Die Duelle sind schnell, die Kollisionsabfrage ist größtenteils akkurat und mit einem zweiten Spieler kommt es packenden Gefechten. Online-Kämpfe sollte man dank des mageren Netzcodes, an dem seit Release geschraubt wird, allerdings meiden.
