- It wasn’t a great experience around launch on PC, but Marvel’s Midnight Suns is well worth your time right now, and a joy to play on Steam Deck. It already felt like a perfect fit for Steam Deck from the start, and it has finally been fixed for Valve’s portable system with a recent update.
Mikhail Madnani · Feb 13, 2023 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a game that will demand your time and attention, its not a quick experience but it is just that, an experience one that is nicely balanced in its fantastic story and above average action for a perfect melding of what makes superheroes so cool to being with.
Terrence Johnson · Jan 09, 2023 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Overall, Marvel’s Midnight Suns is an impressive, engaging story that mixes rewarding gameplay with lovable characters. There are a few flaws depending on the system you’re playing on, but they’re nowhere near enough to bring the enjoyment of the game down.
Brittany Alva · Jan 09, 2023 Reviewed on PCRead full review - With how much fun I had playing this game and how enjoyable the overreaching plot is, I could’ve scored it higher if it were to overlook those issues. As it stands, I had a blast stepping into the role of the Hunter and getting to hang out and battle with a colorful assortment of Marvel heroes in a supernatural-tinged adventure.
Audra Bowling · Jan 07, 2023 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a lot of character and base building built into a unique deck-building Strategy RPG. There are some story pieces that just aren’t entirely enthralling, and you may find the exploration to be lacking.
Steven Weber · Dec 21, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - I can’t express my love for the combat enough, it’s fast, furious, and fantastically flashy. The deck-building aspect is great too, with loads of options and variety. It’s what you’re doing when you’re not in combat that’s the problem. The hollow consequence-free relationships, the questionable voice-acting and writing, and the game’s underutilization of the entire mystical and dark premise to the game.
Thomas Medina · Dec 20, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a game that you expect quality, and it delivers. When you aren’t crafting and battling with your deck of hero cards there is a deep story to progress and a world to explore. Not only does the exploration feel rewarding but so does the relationships you will be building with your fellow heroes.
Corey Lyle · Dec 17, 2022 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a fun game for superhero enthusiasts, but it is also quite basic and has many rough edges. We enjoyed the overall gameplay loop of the battles, and exploring the abbey and its surroundings was entertaining, but things were dragged down by odd design choices and very simplistic mechanics.
Ibuki · Dec 16, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Despite presentation that leaves something to be desired, Marvel’s Midnight Suns packs a ton of interesting strategy into its adventure, and smart writing around the edges helps to offset a main story that feels quite generic. Midnight Suns might be a flawed game in some ways, but I also couldn’t put it down, and it’s the rare game that made me truly want to run around collecting everything.
Andrew Thornton · Dec 15, 2022 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Marvel's Midnight Suns has fantastic card-based combat, something it shares in common with Marvel Snap, along with excellent social features and deeply fascinating Marvel lore. It can engross you for dozens of hours with brilliantly layered, unique gameplay featuring just enough variety to make each battle run differently. But this doesn't mask its fatal flaws, namely some game-breaking bugs that'll prevent you from finishing a game with a clearly established ending.
