  • Lost at Sea takes on a bold concept, and does a serviceable job of telling its story through well-designed puzzles. That said, many other parts of the game feel underdeveloped, and while still a memorable experience, a bit more expansion could have made it unforgettable.

  • Lost at Sea is the story of a woman desperately trying to keep her head above water in an overwhelming ocean of emotions. But it’s also the story of a game that is perhaps not entirely sure of what it’s trying to accomplish. It’s hard to face your fears when they send you right back to the beginning, thwarting your progress on a cumbersome island.

  • In conclusion, Lost at Sea is a wonderful indie title that has been ported to Xbox and is worthy of playing on sale for those interested in the easy gamerscore. If you’re a gamer that enjoys a serene and introspective journey then this might be a game for you, it definitely is a game for those who are mature enough to comprehend Anna’s message and walk away with more empathy. You will spend roughly an hour walking around and half an hour learning of Anna’s past and her family.

  • Lost At Sea is a personal project in search of a game. That sounds rough, but it's hard to get over just how poorly it fares compared to other walking sims. It wants to capture this tangible sensation of coming to grips with your past and moving forward. By itself, that's a noble goal. But I rarely – rarely – felt that connection meaningfully transplanted into these mundane fetch quests.

  • Overall then, Lost At Sea is great at the narrative aspect of the adventure and tells a heartfelt tale that will very quickly see you empathising with the protagonist. The only issue there is that it’s all too easy to experience the memories out of order and it’s something which can hinder the experience a tad.
