  Overall, I like Loot & Legends. It feels like the perfect fit for a tablet and feels well designed and quite polished. I know that some in the forums have encountered numerous crashes, but I've been playing the game constantly on an iPad Air and iPad Air 2 (including streaming it on Mobcrush for more than an hour) and haven't had a crash yet.

  Loot & Legends works hard to stay just on the right side of inoffensive. Both the battles and the deck-building offer enough options to give your mind something to chew on, but not so much as to cause anyone to choke. The bugs present at this point never caused me to lose any progress, and it looks likely to improve over time, not only in stability, but also balance and features. If the gameplay is less exacting than the RPGs it so consciously evokes, perhaps those of us who once played them have grown to prefer games which waste less of our time.

  I’m a firm believer that Loot & Legends will approach or reach the heights of Card Hunter, but I can only review games in the forms they take when we can actually download them to our tablets. This one is an unstable version of a classic for now, so here’s hoping we can revisit it in a few months and find it’s realized its full potential.

  And you will have fun. There's a sweet, fresh cardboard scent to Loot & Legends that will set the nose of anyone with a passion for pencils and hit points tingling. And the game that's built around it is more than solid enough to mean anyone can have a look. ...A love letter to table top RPGs, Loot & Legends is endearing and engaging in equal measure.
