- Little Nightmares II is an amazing single-player experience. Everything that was great about the original is even better in this sequel.
Andrew McMahon · Apr 02, 2021 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - It’s more of a slicker rehash of its predecessor than a sequel with all-new ideas, but Little Nightmares II successfully delivers big thrills in a game so eerily atmospheric it feels like it could have been ripped straight from the subconscious mind of a terrified child.
Jack Allin · Mar 05, 2021 Reviewed onRead full review - Little Nightmares II is more of what fans enjoyed in the first installment. It's a terrific blend of evenly spaced platforming combined with environmental object manipulation puzzles. If that wasn't enough there's even a dose of co-ed puzzle solving. The game especially shines during the tense, atmospheric real-time platforming sequences. With its forgiving checkpoint auto-saves even a tired, old gamer can succeed through the platforming sequences.
Scott Jeslis · Mar 04, 2021 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Little Nightmares II successfully creates a series of titles that pair up splendidly. Through masterful environmental storytelling and world-building, Tarsier Studios steps up to the likes of Limbo and Inside to invoke a creepy, horror experience that will force its way into your memories.
Steven Green · Mar 03, 2021 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Little Nightmares 2 is a great sequel of the original, and it adds a lot of new areas to explore, expanding the already impressive world of the Little Nightmares universe. While the game may be fairly short, sometimes only lengthened by its clunky controls, it is a treat to play through the experience. The overall vagueness of the story does also add a bit of charm to the strange setting of the game, but sometimes a bit more context would be nice, even if it was only in a small codex you can read after certain encounters.
Ibuki · Feb 22, 2021 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Little Nightmares II is a haunting adventure platformer set in a dark and twisted world. Guide Six and Mono through an apocalyptic ruin filled with cannibalistic entities and engaging puzzles. Little Nightmares II is a must-play for horror fans everywhere.
Jez Corden · Feb 19, 2021 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - It had my attention from start to finish and was perfect through and through. The atmosphere, story surprises, and tense moments kept me up playing way too late on a work night and I don’t regret a moment of it. If Tarsier continues to create Little Nightmares content, I will buy it every time.
Jason Palazini · Feb 18, 2021 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Little Nightmares II is a delightfully spooky foray into a horrifyingly gorgeous world. It's also a bit too long, occasionally frustrating and, in one key moment, inaccessible for players who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. But, overall, it represents a successful follow-up from Tarsier.
Andrew King · Feb 18, 2021 Reviewed on PC, Series X|S, PS4, XB1, SwitchRead full review - Little Nightmares II is a sequel that everyone can love especially those die-hard fans of the franchise. You’re still greeted with unexpected threats lurking in every dark corner, the uneasy feeling you get when you walk through corridors and windows, and the unexpected twist at the end.
Lexuzze Tablante · Feb 16, 2021 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Little Nightmares II then – a grimy, grotesque and greasy journey through a city of nightmares, it’s inhabitants a collection of melted skin and incorrect proportions, a twisted take on the world around us, with everything good and pure buried under an all powerful darkness. A journey worth not just experiencing, but one you deserve to survive through too.
