- Linelight is a minimalistic abstract puzzle game where we move a short white bar around on a long line to solve puzzles by activating platforms, switches, and other mechanics.
Jurij · Dec 28, 2022 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Ultimately, the occasional frustration within Linelight is born out of its uncompromising dedication to its core principles, which is a necessary evil considering how effective the execution the game's concept is. With audio and graphical excellence throughout, both of which are intrinsically linked, Linelight ends up being far more than the sum of its parts, all the while not sacrificing its entertaining puzzle gameplay for some greater sanctimonious goal.
Rob Funnell · Aug 02, 2017 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Linelight is the sort of game I never get tired of stumbling upon. It’s an unexpected gem — slightly imperfect, but far too interesting and charming in its ambition for me to care. Not that it’s hurting for accolades, but if you haven’t tried Linelight, yet you definitely should.
Rob Rich · Aug 02, 2017 Reviewed onRead full review - When I first saw Linelight at GDC, I was intrigued. The moment I picked up the controller and played it, I fell in love. Now that it’s on iOS, I am in love yet again. The game is pretty much perfect with the exquisite design, calming music, and the controls work out nicely.
Christine Chan · Jul 28, 2017 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Linelight is a solid attempt to change things up. It gets major points on its design and structure. The care taken trying to craft something new and original is commendable. I can’t guarantee you’ll walk away totally satisfied or with a tremendous sense of accomplishment but you will enjoy the trip. And as any true existentialist can attest to, it’s all about the journey and not the destination.
Chris Simmons · Feb 10, 2017 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Plus, I know when we refer to “games as art” we’re usually referring to their writing, exposition, or place in the medium, but Linelight screenshots seriously look like they belong in some kind of modern art museum. It really cannot be understated how beautiful this game is, especially in motion.
I. Coleman · Feb 08, 2017 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Linelight‘s unapologetically simple aesthetic is cunningly packed with a punch matched only by its intelligent assortment of variety and execution in creating a puzzle game that blossoms into something more than merely guiding colored bars on a circuit board-like winding of lines. A testament to the ever-growing puzzle genre, Linelight is nothing short of a stroke of genius.
Jordan Helm · Feb 06, 2017 Reviewed on PCRead full review - While not offering anything groundbreaking as such, this tranquil, simplistic puzzler is a joyous distraction in a medium that can sometimes pride itself on pomp and circumstance.
Colm Ahern · Feb 06, 2017 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Linelight is easy to recommend, but perhaps more as a deviation than a destination. It's a game worth savoring, and one so effective at instilling you with both curiosity and relaxation that it ought not to be spoiled by binge playing. To be sure, some of its potency is lost during repeat playthroughs--another reasons to consider it a salve for a stressful day.
Peter Brown · Feb 01, 2017 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - While you can easily make it through Linelight in a sitting or two, it is perfect light fare to combo break massive AAA experience. Through intuitive level design and a steady difficulty ramp, Linelight is able to punch far above its weight class — it’s a great start for fledgling developer My Dog Zorro.

About the game
Trailers & Screenshots:
Linelight is a refreshingly inventive, minimalist puzzle-adventure game. It takes the wildly simple premise of "What if everything takes place on a line?" and rockets it into outer space. Each mechanic is immediately understandable, then gradually combined with familiar elements, leading to an exponentially large array bursting with puzzles, each with a one-of-a-kind solution.
