  • When people say that you could spend 80-100 hours in this game and enjoy every second of it, believe them because there is so much variety to enjoy here.

  • In conclusion, Like a Dragon is much more than just an RPG. It is a story with themes that go far beyond fighting, with memorable characters and epic scenes for all fans of the franchise. The turn-based gameplay is practically flawless, as it manages to bring elements of strategy and positioning without making the experience to demanding. Yes, the beginning can be slow, but what is “on the other side of the curtain” is an experience that deserves everyone’s attention, from casual gamers to the most demanding. t’s still early in the year, but Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is undoubtedly one of the best games of 2024 so far.

  • With that said, Infinite Wealth is another fabulous title from one of the best developers on Earth. The necessary improvements to combat have been made, it tells a great story centered around a fantastic protagonist, and Hawaii is a spectacular new location for the franchise. Even though the New Game+ situation outright sucks, there’s still an astounding amount of content in the base game, which helps alleviate the pain. With this release, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has successfully closed the book on Yakuza, and will let the Like a Dragon flag fly free for the foreseeable future.

  • Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is a game that asks a lot of the player even before it begins to reap the most meaningful memory out of it. Having to create an emotional resonance with its characters by playing dozens of hours of its previous entries, patience to understand every game mechanic and grind to be appropriately leveled for each chapter, and attention to properly comprehend each story beat. But, if you are willing to go through all of it to live this epic experience, one of the most impactful stories in gaming awaits.

  • Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth encaptures everything great about the franchise, from its political melodrama-esque plot, decent gameplay mechanics and bonkers side missions. This is one of the best Yakuza games yet and one that returning fans should not miss.

  • In Infinite Wealth, the reward for beating the largest minigame is…another giant orbital laser, except some friends from the Animal Crossing minigame jump over your shoulder. Outside of that, the animation, MP cost, and functionality of the attack are all exactly the same. It’s still definitely fun to wipe out a squad of baddies with a giant space laser, but it doesn’t have the same impact as it did the first time around. Infinite Wealth is that space laser. It takes and reuses a lot of ideas from Yakuza: Like a Dragon (and other titles), and they’re still fun to see and use, but they don’t quite capture the same feeling of never knowing what's around the next corner, which is what made Yakuza: Like a Dragon so exceptional.

  • Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the series at its absolute best. Everything about the game from combat, story and the world is the most robust and enjoyable it has ever been. The game doesn’t cater as much for newcomers, but the plethora of high-quality moments make it an undeniably incredible RPG.

    About the game

Two larger-than-life heroes, Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu are brought together by the hand of fate, or perhaps something more sinister… Live it up in Japan and explore all that Hawaii has to offer in an RPG adventure so big it spans the Pacific.
