  Langrisser is a high-quality turn-based SRPG with great depth to its tactical combat system, and only a light focus on its bot-controlled PVP - which means the game doesn't feel pay-to-win despite the gacha hero-unlocking mechanics.

  The official global release date for Langrisser is January 22nd. In a day or two, we will find out if this ambitious mobile game will succeed in finding the audience. From what we saw, this is one of the best mobile JRPG games we have ever played and hopefully, the players worldwide will share our sentiment.

  Looking just at the root of this, it's a pretty awesome package of cool art, past stories, character skills, and so on. The problem comes ultimately from the format that, on some level, the game is a 'pay to win,' or at least a soft 'pay to play,' as players are fundamentally limited in how much progress they can make in a single day. The wall you hit limits what actually might have been an extremely cool single player experience.
