- Despite its appealing visuals and playful soundtrack, Krinkle Krusher is a simplistic and generic tower defence game that is made worse by its use of its imprecise physical controls. This feels like a game that should be played on touch screen devices, and even then, the gameplay is too simple and repetitive to ever keep players’ attention or be even remotely memorable. In the end, the only thing that Krinkle Krusher krushed was my motivation to continue playing.
Brandon Langrock · Nov 07, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - It has a unique song that can get stuck in your head, and does well to entertain without annoying you too much. It’s also notable when zapping the Krinkles with your lightning attack they make goofy sounds to that effect, which can be quite funny depending on your timing. All in all, they really did a good job at setting a tone with the audio and making sure each portion of the game went well with the soundtrack it was paired with.
Tyler Olthoff · May 18, 2015 Reviewed on VitaRead full review - The bright surface presentation does little to disguise the fact that that Krinkle Krusher is a fairly poor game. It is frustrating and repetitive, with numerous gameplay issues that do little to encourage the player to continue playing. In all honesty, this is a game to avoid.
Sophie Halliday · May 12, 2015 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Krinkle Krusher is a competent tower defence title with a colourful theme, but it's best played in short-bursts and doesn't really excel on the DualShock 4. There are some nice ideas here – we especially enjoyed the incentives to return to earlier levels once we'd powered up – but this is a straightforward experience at best, and, on the PS4 at least, it still has a few Krinkles that should have been ironed out.
Simon Fitzgerald · Apr 21, 2015 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - This game is very obviously aimed at the younger sector of the gaming crowd, but with the frustrating difficulty of the beginning parts, along with limited spells and lots of enemies, they may well be put off before really getting deeper into it. Krinkle Krusher is a moderately good tower defence release, with plenty of life in it for any fans of the genre. However, anyone other than that might be wise to steer clear or at least think twice.
Sandy Wilson · Jun 08, 2015 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Krinkle Krushers is full of vibrant colours and looks quite pleasing to the eye. ...Krinkle Krusher is a game best played in short bursts, otherwise it feels repetitive very quickly. Despite the distracting voice acting and the early difficulty spikes, if you stick with it you can find that there is a solid game underneath, and plenty of fun to be had if you like the tower defence genre.
