- Triple Deluxe is great 2D platformer, with some really nice design. I needed just under 7 hours to finish the campaign, and going back to collect all of the Sun Stones and unlock bonus levels will add a few hours to that. There’s also a multiplayer battle arena and platforming/rhythm hybrid game, though neither held much lasting appeal for me. For fans of 2D platformers it’s a good choice, and definitely worth checking out.
Dave Payerle · May 02, 2014 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - here isn’t a gamer alive I wouldn’t recommend this to. It’s perfect for little kids and experienced gamers alike, although the latter will likely complain about the difficulty level. This fact can be overlooked though with its engaging single player game and satisfying multiplayer. In the end you really can’t go wrong picking this franchise game up.
Royce Dean · May 02, 2014 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - Triple Deluxe does a better job than most Kirby games at retaining a consistent upward slope of challenge throughout. During the last few worlds and final boss, I was surprised to see my lives dwindle, and began to play much more carefully – something I’ve never done in previous Kirby titles. I was excited to embrace this challenge.
Kyle Hilliard · May 02, 2014 Reviewed on 3DS - Triple Deluxe's gameplay shines just as brightly as other Kirby games, as the controls are very easy to use. The new Hypernova ability is marvelous, as it allows you to open up new parts of a level when the situation calls for it. The presentation is quite lovely, with stage design that springs to life and cute little animations that define what Kirby's world is all about. The music is also worth a listen.
Robert Workman · Apr 29, 2014 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - The game is stuffed with content too. There are secrets to be found on every level, stars to collect, and an amusing rhythm-based minigame and multiplayer fighting game to dig into. You even have the option of going back and playing the game again as the mallet-smashing King Dedede, complete with remixed levels and bosses, and it's a tempting proposition when the platforming is this good.
Mark Walton · Apr 28, 2014 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - Charming and light like its hero, Kirby Triple Deluxe has some real substance under all the pink fluff
Justin Speer · Apr 28, 2014 Reviewed on 3DS - Kirby: Triple Deluxe doesn't succeed on all fronts, but the majority of its campaign is a joy to play, and the "Kirby Fighters" mini-game is solid enough to flesh out the package. Triple Deluxe doesn't reach the heights of Kirby Super Star, but it's still one of the finest Kirby adventures to date.
Danny Cowan · Apr 28, 2014 Reviewed on 3DS - When I started the game up, I was worried about Kirby: Triple Deluxe. The first world felt too easy, too "me-too." I thought the hypernova power was going to be a tired gimmick, tacked on to a standard platformer.
Danielle Riendeau · Apr 28, 2014 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - Kirby Triple Deluxe is a light and breezy trip to the spherical slurper's roots. While those looking for a challenge will find this installment as frustrating as previous entries, fans are in for another undeniably charming treat. It's hard not to simply smile the whole time playing, and it's harder not to recommend a game that can do that!
Jim Sterling · Apr 28, 2014 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - Kirby:Triple Deluxe is yet another winning entry in the franchise. It delivers the core Kirby experience alongside of a few very well done extras, which is pretty much everything a fan could ask for. While the Kirby formula could easily be getting stale for some, it still represents a whimsical corner of platforming games that's centered around one central ideal -- fun.
