- The game is a visual treat constantly. It remains true to the anime with everything and at times almost too much to process. I love it and think it is one of the most eye-popping games ever released.
Ken McKown · Oct 06, 2022 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is a very amusing fighting game with an amazing selection of iconic characters at your disposal. The game is certainly worth revisiting if you have already played the original (and liked it), and it is also worth checking out if you’re just a huge fan of the series. We would have loved it were the online options a bit more polished, but as a whole, this one’s an interesting fighting game. We do have to mention that, even with the flashy visuals, this is a fairly slow fighting game.
Ibuki · Sep 24, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Its online modes are bland, and its gameplay is really sluggish for modern fighting game standards, but the sheer amount of content and fan service make JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R a must-have for fans of this utterly ludicrous but endearing franchise.
Leo Faria · Sep 20, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is a much better experience compared to the original title. The modes feel more tightly put together, the character roster has been expanded greatly, and the fighting feels more involved, making the experience much more fun than in the 2016 offering. Unless you're primarily an online player, this is well worth checking out.
Cody Medellin · Sep 19, 2022 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Overall JoJo is a pretty solid fighter and a pretty good upgraded port to boot. Some may find the price somewhat prohibitive given the semi-bare bones modes on offer combined with the fact that we are ultimately talking about a port of a niche near decade old fighter, but if you can look past that, there’s fun to be had.
Nick Baker · Sep 18, 2022 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Having JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle-R as an updated remaster of a classic in 2022 is a good thing, with the refined combat and huge roster being huge pluses. Still, it could have been a much more satisfying product if the online components were given the same attention to detail.
Jake Su · Sep 14, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - The fighting has been improved, and there are plenty of characters to mess around with, but more fighting does not always equal more fun in this case.
Nick Valdez · Sep 13, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle R still more than placates fans with strong single-player and local versus features, as well as a raft of customisation options.
Richard Walker · Sep 12, 2022 Reviewed on PS5, PS4Read full review - JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R offers plenty of characters and fun fighting action, but it's clearly aimed at fans of the anime. It’s a decent fighter all around, but there’s not quite enough depth and variety in the modes to give it the boost it needs to move beyond its "based on an anime" niche.
Jason D'Aprile · Sep 09, 2022 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - An amazing Jojo game, but a less than perfect fighting game. The massive roster and upgrades to the combat systems and visuals from the previous edition make this the definitive way to play Jojo’s All Star Battle.
