  Have you seen the graphics? Jelly Defense is just beautiful: its design is bright and the graphics are spectacular. We'd recommend this game too anyone and everyone, though the gameplay isn't exactly original. That said, we thoroughly enjoyed playing and the increasing challenge presented.

  Also, blue jellies are generally faster and less frequent than the red, however, there are some speedy red baddies so watch out. Lastly, you’ll notice new towers are created as you progress via the green Inventor Tree, so be sure to watch for it.

  While Jelly Defense is pretty formulaic, it is fun for a time, until the difficulty level ramps up and players step away out of frustration. It's unfortunate as early levels are quite fun but trial and error does not make a great game, it just annoys.

  As tower defense games go, Jelly Defense starts out with the potential to be one of the greats. Unfortunately, it never really lives up to this possibility, and that’s really too bad because it manages to get some very big aspects very right in very big ways. It’s sort of like JELL-O that way: it looks like it’ll be awesome, but then turns out to be merely okay.

  The App Store is clotted with tons and tons of tower defense games and Jelly Division doesn’t have a mechanical spark that differentiates it from most others. It is however a decent-enough tower defense game with an utterly fantastic look and vibe. Its art alone is worth the price of admission, but the game part holds up alright despite the orthodox approach.

  Still, it’s extremely polished and charming, and there are several hours’ worth of content to exhaust. The occasional power-ups are fun, too – meteor strikes can blitz whole waves while tornadoes scatter jellies far and wide. Besides, it’s hard to be grumpy at a game whose level select screen sees you rotating a giant cycloptic space hedgehog that whoops with delight at each spin – and then rewards you with an achievement for idly dicking around.

  Jelly Defense può tranquillamente essere considerato un Tower Defense di stampo classico, seppur con alcune soluzioni originali e divertenti. L'improbabile ambientazione e la simpatia dei protagonisti contribuiscono a rendere leggermente più appetibile il titolo che, pur restando oggettivamente godibile, ha l'onere di arrivare in un mercato al limite della saturazione. I fan del genere troveranno comunque quanto si aspettano (e anche qualcosa in più), ma per tutti gli altri la scelta è da valutare attentamente, considerando soprattutto il prezzo di acquisto basso ma non certo simbolico.
