  It seems like some sort of checkpoint or save system that makes failure feel a little less brutal would be a simple modification, but even without it, the game just forces you to be careful with your decisions. I really doubt StarCraft, in any form, will ever come to the App Store, so provided you can put up with the slightly cartoony art style of Iron Marines, this is definitely the next best thing.

  Once you’ve sunk some time into Iron Marines, though, you’re likely to be delighted by the way it works both your brain and your fingers simultaneously, which is what truly excellent RTS titles always manage to do. It’s not easy, but when the going gets tough, the Iron Marines get going. If that’s not a phrase that people say, consider it officially coined.

  Iron Marines is quite possibly the best real-time strategy game on the App Store. It's full of variety, lovingly crafted, and imminently replayable. Its in-app purchases may rub you the wrong way, but that feels like a small blemish on an otherwise extremely polished and fun experience.

  Approcciare Iron Marines pensando di trovarsi di fronte a una riduzione in formato mobile di StarCraft può essere controproducente, dato che - pur con tutta la buona volontà - il titolo Ironhide non ha le medesime caratteristiche del capolavoro Blizzard.
