  • iO is a solid physics puzzler with simple controls, minimalistic visuals, and challenging gameplay that comes together as an overall decent experience. The tough difficulty spike and puzzles reliant on trial and error and good luck prevent this from being an excellent title, but if you are looking for a game to roll you over to the next big release then this is certainly worth a punt.

  • Difficulty spikes and an occasionally frustrating camera aren’t enough to detract from all the physics-based puzzling goodness that iO offers, however. Shrinking and growing on demand is a fun mechanic that makes the game stand out from the variety of other like-minded games out there. On top of that, the sizeable amount of content that the game offers will keep you busy long after you overcome any frustrations you might have.

  • There's a suitably calm and serene musical backing to the entire game, from the menus through to the gameplay itself, which, you're going to need to help keep you cool on your 300th try to go 1/100th of a second faster to nail that gold medal. Yet it manages to refrain from becoming annoying - probably because you've become so incensed with messing up that warp-gate so much..

  • iO is a solid attempt at an innovative quality puzzle game. It gets the general concept right but fails to differentiate itself and ultimately delivers the same experience you get from most games in this genre. Annoying quirks that ultimately make you end up quitting before finishing all the levels. While this wasn’t a terrible game, it’s by no means something you need to play.

  • For those that do decide to give it a go, it doesn’t exactly cost a lot after all, iO is a fun challenge that should captivate even the most wily of puzzle gamers. If you’re not too fond of the genre, then this certainly isn’t going to win you over, but if you’re a fan of physics puzzle games then iO is something different enough to be worth checking out.
