  • That about wraps this investigation, Interrogation: You Will Be Deceived is no longer a suspect to being a bad game. Multiple levels of difficulty allow for multiple playthroughs. The Visual Novel is interesting enough for players who just want the story, while the other two difficulties add a bit of twists and turns to the already enjoyable game. Interrogation: You Will Be Deceived certainly is with the asking price of $12.99.

  • Interrogation: Deceived is not the first text adventure for sure, but it seems to be one of the best experiences in the genre so far, at least for us. First of all, the game’s story narrative is very smart and immersive, and it leaves the usual blunt narrative attempts. Secondly, the presentation, both visual and in the gameplay, is impressively done and filled with simple but innovative solutions. All in all, this game is one of the best we’ve had this year, even though it is a premium purchase of $3.99.

  • Interrogation: You will be deceived ambitiously marries adventure, RPG and strategy elements with a dark edge that will even have you asking questions of yourself.

  • I was genuinely engaged in where the tale would take me, who was involved, and what the outcome would be. Rather than flat-out telling you the story, the game invites you to participate, question your own beliefs and biases, consider the possibility that the usual suspects may be innocent, and that not all criminal or political activity is as clear-cut as it initially seems. Do the ends justify the means?

  • Interrogation is a game that completely surprised me. I made an assumption based off the trailer that it was going to be a simple question and answer investigative game. What I discovered is that it is a complex and refreshingly original type of game that sets itself apart from the rest. Despite its issues with the timed sections, it is a deep and thought provoking experience that will test your wits. For fans of investigative, narrative, or puzzle games, consider looking into Interrogation.

  • Interrogation: You will be deceived uses its detective story and a compelling cast of characters as a jumping-off point to explore morality and social issues. Even if it sometimes gets a bit lost in the philosophical weeds at the expense of its narrative, the core gameplay of conversation puzzles and resource management is solid and the noir atmosphere absorbing.

  • There are interesting concepts at play here and I definitely understand why the team behind Interrogation were inspired to create it. It looks great with a black and white, noir-like visual style which really lands. From gameplay to messaging, though, Interrogation fails on almost every other level. Some of the more insane scenes that show up are something to behold but not for any sort of good reason. Don't be deceived into thinking Interrogation is worth your time.

  • It flits between feeling genuinely meaningful and edgelord, and the whiplash you get between the two really takes away from the experience. There's definitely a game here for some people, but there are better visual novels out there for most. A beautiful looking Noir visual novel that occasionally fumbles some big issues. It has lofty aims, but a less than flawless execution.

  • Interrogation: You Will Be Deceived will not be everyone's cup of tea. With politics at the heart of it, we imagine that some people will instantly disagree with many of the beliefs portrayed herein, along with some of the odd dialogue choices, daft endings, and trial and error gameplay. Yet it manages to surpass these faults for the most part, helping us feel like we were an authentic and dedicated detective in a tough, mysterious world.

  • Interrogation: You will be deceived is a cops and robbers game where the action takes place inside a single room, with you having to skilfully manipulate suspects into spilling the beans… by any means necessary. It has its issues, like how annoyingly precise you have to be with your moves, or how it's sometimes hard to understand why you failed, leading to plenty of trial-and-error, and, yes, this is a niche title that won't appeal to just about anyone. Having said that, it's a very good interrogation sim, features a great noir art style, and is deeply immersive.
