- Any Temple Run player knows the basic premise, and Infinity Runner does little to shake things up – instead delivering trial-and-error gameplay, dodgy production values and repeated set-pieces.
Emma Davies · May 01, 2015 Reviewed onRead full review - If you’re looking for another runner game with a sci-fi setting, Infinity runner isn’t bad, it’s just not really that good either. I had fun with the game in limited capacity, but overall every time I was getting into the grove, the lack of lives or just the boring story took me out of it. Granted there are a few other modes besides the story, including a true endless runner mode which I got the most fun out of, but it’s ultimately a game that I wanted to enjoy more then I actually did.
Justin Celani · Apr 30, 2015 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - The graphics are shiny and the art direction is passable. Most of it takes place in the drab gray hallways of a spaceship, but there are flashes of reds, greens, and blues denoting hazards. ...There isn't a lot to like here. Banal gameplay, cheap deaths, poor feedback, dull quick-time event combat, bad acting, worse writing, and an overall amateurish presentation. The most enjoyable part of this experience was venting to a colleague about how bad it is.
Darren Nakamura · Apr 22, 2015 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - The graphics and presentation feel like you’re playing a mobile game, yet this is a PC port. Multiplayer has been removed. Some sections don’t make it clear what you’re supposed to do. The story is mediocre. Yet, the basic premise of the game remains fun. Infinity Runner doesn’t really do much that you haven’t seen before, but indeed it’s the first game of its kind on the PS4. But it kind of feels like the ship has long since sailed for any new endless runner game to make any sort of traction against the likes of Temple Run 2.
Paulmichael Contreras · Apr 22, 2015 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - As endless runners go, Infinity Runner is a fine example, but greatly lacks polish and finesse. Repeated use of assets also leads to deja vu, and some parts of the game are just plain broken. The story too is deeply unsatisfying with its eye-rolling conclusion. But then for the price, you can't really go too far wrong. If nothing else, Infinity Runner offers a few hours of silly sci-fi entertainment. With space werewolves.
Richard Walker · Apr 21, 2015 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Infinity Runner looks good, with decent graphics and a strong sci-fi visual style. There's some thumping music that drives the action well, and the voiced character - that hairdo lady I mentioned - is quite affable, even if the acting is a little strange and the written dialog embarrassing. It's a solidly presented game, if nothing else.
Jim Sterling · Jul 18, 2014 Reviewed on PCRead full review - At its best, Infinity Runner is fine and functional. But it fails to successfully differentiate itself from other games of its type, many of which are cheaper, if not free. Story mode is an interesting idea, but it's over in a couple of hours or less and isn't a satisfying journey. It's a shame, but Infinity Runner trips over itself too often to pick up any speed.
Britton Peele · Jul 16, 2014 Reviewed on PCRead full review - The droll sci-fi storyline only goes so far and its runner mechanics have been done better before. Owning an Oculus Rift is the main reason to buy it, as the device is currently lacking in platformers. Still, there are likely better-than-average titles right around the corner.
Marcus Estrada · Jul 14, 2014 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Stuttering frame rate, a story mode that can't be completed as of the writing of this review, a lack of responsiveness in the interface and an obnoxious, repetitive soundtrack just about sum up the list of problems which will not affect enjoyment during the first few stages, but which, over time, will be hard to overcome. An update to rectify these major problems would no doubt help iron out some of these issues, though without a big overhaul, some its faults could not entirely be taken away.
Rudy Lavaux · May 11, 2016 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Infinity Runner provides some decent thrills, but it isn't anything major in the grand scheme of things. The gameplay and levels are fun, even if they are plagued with some quick deaths. The bigger issues, which you will find in the game's presentation, can be less excused. Framerate dips and out of sync audio provide more problems than the game can chew. At the end of the day, I liked Infinity Runner enough to play through it, but that is about it.

The Infinity is the largest spaceship ever built by man-kind; flung into the void of space to secure humanity a new home amongst the stars.
