  • Infested Planet's streamlined approach ultimately spins out into a welcome shift away from the dizzying complexities that can bog down RTS games. The arcade-style flow of matches is grabby and pours the action on thick without sacrificing strategy, and the unique, colorful art style and excellent gameplay help set Infested Planet apart from its larger-scale brethren. Stomping aliens is far more fresh and thrilling than you'd expect.

  • As you can probably tell from my time with it, Yoshi's New Island isn't a "must have," but that doesn't mean it's a bad game. It's very much by the books based on any genre standard, and there's pretty much nothing new here that you'll need to run out to experience. But even so, fans of the genre will still dig it.

  • At the end of the day, it's an interesting and challenging game. The Starship Troopers stylings certainly make it an eye-catching proposition (even if it's fairly minimalistic, Rocket Bear has conjured up a cohesive and satisfying aesthetic), but it's not a meathead in the same way that its source material is.

  • This is a big planet and there are a lot of caves needing clearing, think of raids as housekeeping. You go in and kill as many bugs as you can before your timer runs out and we extract you. You won’t be furthering our campaign but you will be earning cash for every bug you kill and hive you burn. The opportunities for combat are endless

  • Blasting away at alien hordes does eventual get a little repetitive as you fall back into the same routine of building turrets to secure captured zones and slowly pushing forward into enemy territory, and enemy unit design is a little uninspired (they basically all look like blue and purple grubs), but all in all Infested Planet takes a simple concept and makes it into a satisfying and addictive experience. Well worth your time.

  • Infested Planet è attualmente proposto su Steam a €13.99.

About the game

Command a team of 5 elite soldiers against an alien horde of 100,000. Surrounded on all sides, you must outmaneuver and outsmart the enemy. The enemy is closing in around you. Your soldiers are being flanked and the perimeter is slowly collapsing under a vicious alien assault. Robotic turrets will not last much longer. Just a little more and the bugs will swarm into your unprotected base. What are your orders? You order your soldiers to fall back to a defensive chokepoint and rebuild your defenses. Sacrifice the forward squads to gain some extra time. Gather your team while equipping them with flamethrowers and laser guns. Start building a siege cannon for fire support.
