- Hunted: The Demon’s Forge isn’t going to win any awards for originality or for its looks, that for sure. That being said, what it does provide though is a mediocre action adventure game that can be enjoyed by most gamers willing to overlook the somewhat dated presentation and flawed execution. For me the game is good for a quick and somewhat enjoyable diversion.
Frank Naresh · Jun 21, 2011 Reviewed on X360Read full review - While it’s a game with plenty of individual mechanics, very few of them feel like they’re adding much depth. It’s not a brainless game, but it’s the kind you can play while discussing last night’s Doctor Who. Unlike most games, the question isn’t whether or not you’re up for it, but whether you have a suitable friend you can convince to join you
Richard Cobbett · Jun 18, 2011 Reviewed on PCRead full review - You probably won't want to play through this lengthy, unpolished, one-note adventure more than once, let alone make your own maps with the included level-builder. Hunted: The Demon's Forge is a bit of a hard sell as anything beyond a weekend lark, and then only if you've got a willing accomplice for co-op
Game Trailers · Jun 16, 2011 Reviewed on X360 - Hunted: The Demon’s Forge could have been something special if it had gone for more creative and risky co-op elements, but instead it plays it safe, which leads to something that feels only vaguely cooperative. Its glimpses of ambition, like its utterly massive secret areas, only make the humdrum majority of the game more apparent
Matthew Keast · Jun 15, 2011 Reviewed on PS3, X360Read full review - Like a horse swishing its tail with futile persistence, Hunted never manages to rid itself of bugs,....Despite the cloud of bugs pestering its flanks, the grafted DNA in its cells and co-op play’s baffling lack of drop-in/drop-out functionality, Hunted delivers an improbably fun gallop
Edge Staff · Jun 10, 2011 Reviewed on X360 - Hunted gets excellent marks for superior writing with non-cliched characters threading through the well-paced action. I enjoyed the single-player combat, but I wished that the game delivered on its premise of a truly cooperative action dungeon-crawl
Greg Tito · Jun 09, 2011 Reviewed on X360Read full review - Hunted: The Demon’s Forge is by no means a ground-breaking game. What Hunted does offer though is a fun co-op experience with an interesting storyline. Tie in a dungeon creator, and it can keep you coming back for more with a fresh new map to play on.
Joseph Peterson · Jun 08, 2011 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - It's obvious that Hunted was never going to be a triple-A smash hit success, but that doesn't mean it had to willingly underachieve. Instead of getting a uniquely special game, players will get a relatively fun little action title with an overwhelming sense that many things are missing
Jim Sterling · Jun 04, 2011 Reviewed on X360Read full review - How much fun you have with Hunted: The Demon's Forge depends on how willing you are to overlook those oddities in favor of the bigger picture. You could say the same about most games, but then again, few games with so much promise suffer under the weight of a thousand and one tiny pebbles
Kevin VanOrd · Jun 03, 2011 Reviewed on PC, PS3, X360Read full review - t's odd blend of cover-based shooting, a fantasy setting, and hot co-op action make it an eyebrow-raiser, but the execution is flawed. If you're desperate to play something with an equally desperate friend, Hunted: The Demon's Forge might surprise you. But there are better multiplayer games out there, and some of them have just as many elves and dragons as this one
