A perfect fit for the Nintendo Switch and a perfect game for those looking for something far more chill.

With more than 30 beautifully designed environments, there’s plenty to keep you searching – and when you’ve had enough, you can try your hand at making your own levels. Sure, it’s not going to be for everyone, but if hunting out objects is your jam, there are several hours of fun to be had here.

I’m happy to say that this nifty hidden object puzzler grabbed hold of me with its quirky and charming presentation and made me stay for its accessible and addicting gameplay loop. This sequel improves upon its predecessor in every possible way. While the very light campaign story, small optimization issues, and the lack of DualSense implementation detract from the overall presentation, it is not enough to affect my enjoyment of the game. This is why I recommend Hidden Through Time 2 to anyone looking to broaden their gaming horizons, take a break from the conventional, or those who just want to have a great time testing their observational skills. There’s something for everyone to find here!

It is a puzzle game that has a catchy visual style, it is full of details and offers many hours of fun. The lack of replay value of the basic levels is balanced out by the level editor, that hopefully will be embraced by the community. All in all, Hidden Through Time 2 is a good example of how to implement a simple concept in an engaging way.
