The most important thing to know about Guardian Tales is that you’ll only get out what you put into it. If you only want to work through the main story, you can just ignore all the other options and play through. But on the other hand, those looking for a deep and engaging experience will also feel right at home with this game. There is a ton of content here, which may intimidate some gamers at first, but don’t let that dissuade you – Guardian Tales is a thoroughly enjoyable time.

Guardian Tales combines JRPG story and characters with dungeon crawler gameplay and mobile game elements to create an awesome single player experience that Zelda fans will love. Though it suffers a bit from clunky mobile needs, the game stands out as a free mobile game that players will enjoy.

Guardian Tales is a fun action role-playing game with gacha elements and an art style that seems inspired by early Zelda games. Developed by Kakao Games, Guardian Tales has us form a team of four heroes and then beat enemies, complete quests, enter PvP matches, gather resources, and upgrade our party to progress further into the game.

Guardian Tales is a charming breath of fresh air for fans of 8-bit games and JRPGs of old. The free-to-play gacha game, while chock-full of complicated currencies to figure out, doesn’t really make you feel like you need to pay to win. It invites players to enter into a fun and quirky world to get away from it all, which is a more-than-welcome distraction from the seriousness of life.

Guardian Tales dà uno scossone agli RPG mobile con elementi gacha, pur rientrando precisamente all'interno del canone di appartenenza, grazie a una forte caratterizzazione, una bella dose di umorismo e anche qualche idea originale applicata al gameplay. Resta l'impressione che la modalità storia avrebbe potuto probabilmente sussistere per conto proprio come normale titolo premium senza tutti gli annessi e connessi del free-to-play con microtransazioni, considerando come sia ben strutturata sul fronte del level design tra sistema di combattimento, esplorazione ed enigmi, ma la continua auto-ironia con cui il gioco presenta anche i suoi elementi più deteriori non può far altro che strappare dei sorrisi. Questo è uno dei rari casi in cui un gioco di questo genere può essere consigliato (almeno per completare la modalità storia) anche a coloro che non digeriscono la tipologia.
