- GRID Autosport is a fantastic high-quality singleplayer racing game developed by Codemasters but ported to Android and iOS by Feral Interactive.
SugarRigby · Aug 23, 2021 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Truly a crown jewel of the TOCA series, it is no wonder this game continues its reign five years after it was initially released. Perfectly adapted for each platform it conquered, GRID Autosport Android continues the Codemasters’ legacy and marks another successful port. The controls, visuals, gameplay, and the atmosphere are all left intact and excellently adapted for mobile gameplay. This is surely a delight for all mobile gamers who are fans of the racing supreme.
Alec Sandar · Dec 01, 2019 Reviewed on AndRead full review - GRID Autosport is almost in a class of its own on the Nintendo Switch. The game is one of the best looking Switch games and is the best racing simulator experience available on the console. While games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Crash Team Racing lead the system’s kart racing options–GRID Autosport has shot to the top of the list if you want to race in real-world environments. The level of care that Feral has put into the Switch version is apparent with even more options to come. If you’re in the market for a racing sim to take on-the-go, you can’t do any better than GRID Autosport.
Justin Sharp · Oct 23, 2019 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Overall though, it’s an incredibly impressive port of an already impressive game. The lengths Feral Interactive went to make sure this game lived up to the Switch’s full potential are incredibly impressive and set for a bar that won’t be easily cleared anytime soon. Here’s hoping Codemasters has a few more ports like this coming down the line, Dirt Rally and F1 on Switch would be a dream.
Thomas Medina · Oct 09, 2019 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - It may lack multiplayer out of the gate and be half a decade old at this point, but it’s still a solid racer nonetheless that’s a worthy addition to the hybrid convenience of the Nintendo Switch.
Darren Palma · Oct 01, 2019 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - So many of Grid Autosport’s strengths, from its racing style to the focus on single-player gameplay, fit perfectly on the Nintendo Switch. Upon playing this port, it makes a ton of sense as to why Codemasters ported over the five-year-old game rather than one of its more recent offerings. It isn’t a classic by any means, but it is full of content and is a racing game that everybody can enjoy.
Tyler Treese · Sep 29, 2019 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - A wealth of content and a sparkling port make Grid Autosport the best non-kart racing game on Nintendo Switch. It’s an essential purchase for fans of the genre and a great entry point for players ready to graduate from their Cat-Cruisers and Biddy-Buggys.
Daniel New · Sep 25, 2019 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - The release of GRID Autosport on iOS is important and should be celebrated. The game is stunning and does a good job of replicating the experience of the original PC and console title, which makes the case that AAA titles can (and should) come to mobile without being hamstrung or compromised. That said, the game itself feels far less ambitious. It’s a fine racing game, but--looks aside--it’s a little lacking.
Campbell Bird · Dec 08, 2017 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Is GRID Autosport a perfect game? No, but it's pretty close to that. For instance, the menus could have been all on one screen so I don't have to scroll right and left all the time. And maybe some of the text could have been slightly larger on a phone.
Tasos Lazarides · Nov 27, 2017 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - GRID Autosport is certainly much more in line with what fans of the first game wanted to see in GRID 2, but it manages to arrive on the scene just a year later. The common blood and certain compromises are clear to see, but there have been additions to the cars on offer, the tracks and the readmission of things like the cockpit camera. Yet, in the end, it feels like a stop gap while Codemasters as a whole get ready to jump aboard the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Seeing as there are currently so few racing games on those consoles, this could be a stop gap for racing fans too.
