- Even if the price was right (and that price is free, regardless of platform) Goat Simulator is not worth playing. It's a game designed for YouTube, not the average consumer. Reward this shrewd business decision by not buying this game and just watching some clips online instead.
Mike Cosimano · Aug 15, 2015 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Don’t get me wrong, it has its funny moments — I mean, you’re a physics-centric goat that kinda, sorta wrecks some stuff and can turn into a whale — but the moments fizzle out all too quickly. It’s not that it’s bad. It’s just really not all that good.
Chandler Wood · Aug 14, 2015 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - All in all, Goat Simulator is a game that has a lot of fun elements, but the biggest problem with it is how quickly the experience is over. It’s a game that you want to keep going with good pacing of mutators and interesting challenges, but when you’ve finished all you can do within 6 hours, then that will ultimately leave you wanting more due to the price of the game. Also disappointing is the lack of a free PC addon called the “Goat MMO Simulator” for the Xbox versions of the game.
Andrew Stretch · Apr 28, 2015 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Goat Simulator is quite easily one of the more forgettable games I have played in recent memory. Aside from some cheap laughs and managing to somehow become an internet cultural phenomenon, this goat game offers up little in terms of any substance. Instead you get a glitch, buggy shallow experience you will ditch in a matter of days. For around $10 bucks, there are far superior games that will give you much more replay value.
Trevor Houston · Apr 23, 2015 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Goat Simulator is the definition of dumb fun. It serves no purpose other than to entertain. I have derived far too many hours of enjoyment out of a game with little purpose. It is another sign that gaming has changed, and we are able to enjoy disasterpieces like this one. If you enjoy just toying around in a glitch-field world, and love to smile, Goat Simulator should definitely be on your list of games to play this Spring.
Ken McKown · Apr 21, 2015 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - But is it worth five bucks? No, God, no. For a gamer, there isn’t anything to invest in. Is it a fun way to escape a busy life? Yes. So if you would like to play it, I’m sure the developers don’t mind you downloading a .apk file from somewhere on the internet, so you can play it without actually have to pay for it (figure of speech, the developers need to eat to, you know :)).
Wesley Akkerman · Oct 06, 2014 Reviewed on And - Really, don't buy Goat Simulator if you want a long-lasting experience, or a fully-formed grand experience, polished off to a T. Really, the game is set up in such a way that anything that goes wrong is pretty much just part of the experience. And most of the fun of the game is trying to control a goat that's running around wreaking havoc. Either that's going to appeal to you and you're going to drop the cash on the game if you haven't already, or you're going to pass on it.
Carter Dotson · Sep 22, 2014 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Ultimately, Goat Simulator isn’t so much of a game as it is a big joke. It never takes itself seriously, and that’s a good thing insofar as it’s not going to last forever. It’s very buggy and the frankly awful controls and camera issues can make it a struggle to play at times, to the point when even the task of jumping over a fence is a painfully drawn-out affair.
Lee Hamlet · Sep 19, 2014 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Overall, Goat Simulator is a weird little achievement-hunt sandbox game that I got a solid hour of enjoyment out of. Is it worth $5? For most players, I’d say no. There are plenty of other games that are cheaper, or free, that can deliver a much more polished and rewarding experience. But if you’re in the market for a game that is absurd in every way imaginable, you can’t go wrong with Goat Simulator.
Tom Christiansen · Sep 19, 2014 Reviewed on iOS, AndRead full review - I can totally see handing Goat Simulator to kiddie-types to keep 'em quiet for a spell, but I think you'll find you want to ram into everything yourself first just to see what happens. It's a brilliantly, joyfully dumb game. I love it to pieces.

About the game
Goat Simulator is the latest in goat simulation technology, bringing next-gen goat simulation to YOU. You no longer have to fantasize about being a goat, your dreams have finally come true! WASD to write history.
Gameplay-wise, Goat Simulator is all about causing as much destruction as you possibly can as a goat. It has been compared to an old-school skating game, except instead of being a skater, you're a goat, and instead of doing tricks, you wreck stuff. Destroy things with style, such as doing a backflip while headbutting a bucket through a window, and you'll earn even more points! Or you could just give Steam Workshop a spin and create your own goats, levels, missions, and more! When it comes to goats, not even the sky is the limit, as you can probably just bug through it and crash the game.
