  Game Builder Garage is a fun introduction to the world of programming for a younger audience when it comes to sticking to the basic tutorials, or for a moderately experienced audience when it comes to actually making standalone projects. This title, however, is very limited for those who want to make lengthy game projects that offer a lot of content. You’ll be able to create amusing little chunks of gameplay, with your own artwork included, which will keep you occupied for quite some time.

  Instead, Game Builder Garage feels like a pedestrian effort. The scope of games across different genres that users can assemble is amazing, but there just isn't enough in terms of assets or customization for users to put a truly unique stamp on their work. Plus, if anybody does manage to create something incredible and worth sharing, actually sharing it is a pain.

If players pick up where Nintendo left off and provide quick online tutorials for achieving the trickier game-building techniques that Bob doesn't cover well enough, it might become something special. Even without that, it's a decent first step for anyone looking to learn about programming, especially kids.
