- Loot boxes feel like a small blemish on an otherwise outstanding game. Forza continues to deliver year-in and year-out. This outing will also be a showcase for Microsoft’s upcoming 4K console. Turn 10 continues to deliver, and if nothing else Microsoft has this genre on lockdown for the time being. Glad to see the team not get complacent. Forza Motorsport 7 is yet another must-own for racing game fans.
Ken McKown · Oct 16, 2017 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - All in all, Forza remains a very solid racing title and deserves a solid 8 of 10 for it’s visuals, flexibility in difficulty, incredible sound, and deep customization. But coming from Motorsport 6 it feels more of a glorified expansion than a full new release. Hopefully this will change with some new track DLC because there is definitely no shortage of cars. For new players, you can’t go wrong with picking up this title but veteran Forza players may choose to wait for a price drop as there might not be enough new content to justify the price right now.
Joe Pepek · Oct 12, 2017 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - There’s even more content on its way to Forza 7 in the form of competitive Leagues, Forzathon community events, and the player-run Auction House. We still don’t know when these features will be turned on, however. But for now, the amount of content in Forza Motorsports 7 is staggering even without these modes. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment racing in the cups, vying for top pole positions, and unlocking more cars for my garage.
Garrick D. Raley · Oct 12, 2017 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Forza Motorsport 7 is a really great racing game—it’s just a shame that changes to the game’s currency system undermine a fair amount of what it does right. It’s made racing feel more like a grind than in years past and no amount of new tracks or cars will change that.
Ray Carsillo · Oct 10, 2017 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Sadly, all this distracts from how great Forza is on the track, how good the trigger vibration feels when you test out a car's limits, and how gorgeous the dynamic weather is when it starts to rain and when racing at night. Unfortunately, Forza 7 finds itself in a similar position as Forza 6 – a title that performs well on the track, but disappoints off of it. This many iterations in the franchise's life, I wish we still weren't waiting for its best version or missing features from previous entries. However, this is the road we're on.
Matthew Kato · Oct 07, 2017 Reviewed on XB1 - Forza Motorsport 7 is a great game. There's no doubting you'll enjoy a lot of your time with Forza, but you're also guaranteed to run into a few problems here and there. It's extremely approachable and simply oozes content out of the gate. Racing is fun and exciting even at the worst of times. It is, however, marred by an invasive microtransaction system as well as elements of the game feeding into this, either forcing a grind or inevitably letting you pay real money to have easier access to later content.
Chris Wray · Oct 06, 2017 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Packed with more content than ever, visuals that leave you astounded and a driving model that is exciting yet ever reliable, Forza Motorsport 7 is clearly ahead of the pack when it comes to racing games. There are some changes that may alienate legacy Forza Motorsport players, but prize crates aside they’ve all been made with good intentions and mostly pay off. The racing in Forza Motorsport 7 is more refined, accessible and competitive than ever. With you at the centre, the journey to win the Forza Drivers Cup is one that is tense and exhilarating every step of the way. If you’re a racing game fan, Forza Motorsport 7 is absolutely essential.
Richard Seagrave · Oct 05, 2017 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Graphically, I'm not sure there's a better racing experience for console at the moment -- and if you dropped the cash on a new 1080 graphics card for your PC, you'll be sitting pretty as well. While the visuals have reached an impressive level, the options are off the charts, and there are some tweaks to how things work here and there, overall we're sort of in a Far Cry scenario where there's not a ton of difference between the various Forza iterations.
Ty Arthur · Oct 05, 2017 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - The Forza Motorsport franchise has settled into a 2-year life cycle and just as it did in 2015, the franchise has once again refined what is already a slick racer. It’s difficult to find any faults as Forza finds itself into a position where tweaks and incremental upgrades are all that is needed to keep the fan base satisfied.
Trevor Houston · Oct 04, 2017 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Forza Motorsport 7 is a fantastic game — as a whole, the series has managed to tweak a near-perfect racing series to provide the best sim racing experience year after year. If you are a die-hard Forza Motorsport fan, I can assure you this game is worth its purchase price. For all you novice sim racing fans or casual gamers out there who are looking to get into the Forza series, this title is one that you should definitely start out with. Or, if you are looking to invest in one of the best looking games you can play on the upcoming Xbox One X, Forza Motorsport 7 is a must-have.
