- Given land and money, this game tests the players fortitude in how bad they want to create something from nothing. For some, every rewarding moment will be worth the frustrations, but for others, every frustration makes the reward lackluster. Ultimately, it seems that Farming Simulator 19 is realistic to a fault, with a player’s determination tested throughout the game.
Joshua Duckworth · Nov 26, 2018 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - This game can be a zen experience of zoning out and just going about your work in game. But it can just as easily be a drag if the experience doesn’t click with you. It didn’t click with me and I want to be clear with the audience that this game is objectively a title with value for players, regardless of its technical and gameplay issues. But subjectively, this is not a game that resonates with me.
Corey Gavaza · Nov 23, 2018 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Just be prepared to throw out your first farm, while you attempt to figure out all of the intermingling systems at play. Fortunately, if this isn’t your first rodeo, there isn’t enough that’s changed to make this transitional release off-putting. This is a case where more of the same is more than enough, as long as you are okay with self-directed entertainment. Your acreage may vary.
Blake Grundman · Nov 20, 2018 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Even though Farming Simulator 19 is much better then previous versions, I can't help but wonder how much better it could have been if they had taken a few additional steps. Perhaps Giants is waiting to use a new graphics engine to give it a complete overhaul? Who knows, I'm just glad the mods will flesh outthe game as they have with Farming Simulator 2017.
Vicken B · Nov 20, 2018 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Overall, the Farming Simulator series is one that a lot of people are very fond of, especially with Farming Simulator 2017. With 2019 I believe all of those people are going to make the transition and find a whole new love for the series. The game is available on 11/20/18. Go out there and farm your hearts out, everyone!
Chris Bowman · Nov 19, 2018 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Farming Simulator 19's new features do push the series in the right direction, but more needs to be done next time around. The old flaws have to be rooted out so a truly fresh new experience can grow.
A.K Rahming · Nov 19, 2018 Reviewed on PCRead full review - If you know going into Farm Simulator 19 that you aren't going to get a realistic looking Stardew Valley, and you're still looking forward to it, then you really can't go wrong here. There are a few hiccups, but it's a pleasant and enjoyable experience overall.
Jordan Baranowski · Nov 19, 2018 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Farming Simulator 19 Platinum Edition on Xbox One suffers from a case of under-delivering on the Platinum offering, which on its own just isn’t worth bothering with. The base game is pretty good though, providing a ton of depth for the experienced farmer to enjoy and just enough for those gamers new to the series to get a handle on. Whilst it is a little overwhelming, everything feels like a slog still and it won’t necessarily be to everyone’s tastes.
James · Nov 07, 2019 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Get further into the game, you’ll start to enjoy the new features and vehicles, and the little improvements build up to what is still an enjoyable farming game at heart. For newcomers, the initial grind might be off putting to some, but the wealth of things you can do in the game will keep you entertained for hours.
gazzagb · Nov 30, 2018 Reviewed on PCRead full review - A slow, repetitive gameplay loop that requires hours of performing monotonous tasks with little payoff. Zero appeal to those outside the existing farm sim cult. Its incremental improvements will appease fans but it does little to entice new players, in what is still a very dry and demanding sim that’s devoid of character.
