- Game length is about right and although there is very little narrative, the story does come full circle and has a satisfying conclusion. If you are looking for a chilled-out, unusual puzzle-solving game I heartily recommend this one.
Harm0nica · Mar 20, 2022 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Far: Changing Tides offers a unique experience sailing across a drowned world. The world itself is beautiful and can draw you into it with its colors and mystery. Regrettably, the shallow gameplay, no story to speak of, and long periods doing nothing mar an experience that could have been memorable.
Nathan Mejia · Mar 17, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Yet, despite its shortcomings, FAR: Changing Tides is just as recommendable, especially if you liked the first game in the series. It has a kind of magic that is worth experiencing at least once, even if the replay value is quite thin. Is it for everyone? Definitely not! But those who look for their games off the beaten path, FAR: Changing Tides won't disappoint.
Cosmin Vasile · Mar 14, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - FAR: Changing Tides is an excellent "afternoon snack" type of game, allowing you to relax and get lost in a puzzle adventure with very little risk.
Cole Martin · Mar 10, 2022 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Contemplative and striking, FAR: Changing Tides is an indie adventure that should be sought out. The light gameplay and sparse storytelling may not be for everyone, but it makes up for these deficiencies with its gorgeous visual design and excellent pace.
Eric Hall · Mar 09, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Even with slight hiccups like this, I still adored my time with Far: Changing Tides. The gameplay and design are reminiscent of Playdead’s Limbo and Inside, while featuring a beautiful setting that really draws you into the world without ever saying a word.
Andrew McMahon · Mar 09, 2022 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - The best thing to do is not choose and simply play both. Despite some deviations from the scenic route, FAR: Changing Tides takes its players on another memorable voyage.
Daniel New · Mar 08, 2022 Reviewed on PC, PS5, Series X|S, PS4, XB1, SwitchRead full review - FAR: Changing Tides is more concerned with showing a story rather than actually telling one, and it absolutely works out in its favor. Yet again, the series manages to tell an entire story without a single line of dialog. There aren’t many thrilling moments throughout the journey, but the ones we do have are some of the most eye-opening ones that I couldn’t even imagine being possible, even in the last game.
Erickson Melchor · Mar 07, 2022 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - FAR: Changing Tides has no enemies, leveling, or missions. It's just a beautiful game. It has only you, nature and the ship, which will take almost all of your attention. Well, there are obstacles to overcome. It is ideal for those who like to relax while watching the beautiful views. And for those who spend hours in the garage trying to start their car.
Brau3er · Mar 07, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Satisfying sailing in a beautifully soggy apocalypse. I've never felt so connected to a vehicle in a game.
