- Somehow, even with some of the criticisms I had, I enjoyed F1 2013. For me, it was less about the technical side, like managing tire wear, or learning the kinectic energy return system, and more about just going really fast. That said, there were times that I was somehow able to hone in and sort of fall into the zone, which made it feel like I was going even faster. F1 2013 is rewarding in a way that an arcade racer could never be.
Dale North · Nov 03, 2013 Reviewed onRead full review - At its heart, F1 2013 is a minor update to F1 2012, and while the inclusion of tyre management and tweaks to the handling make for a far smoother racing experience, it feels all too familiar far too quickly. However, the inclusion of the classic content is a game-changer, and an extremely fun one at that. Fans of racing in the 80s and 90s will find it difficult to resist this new addition – even if the decision to lock half of it behind a paywall will leave you shaking your head.
Gaz Plant · Oct 24, 2013 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - F1 2013 has been the most joyless media to ever be placed in my PS3 console. Not once did I have fun. Take that as a reference to how narrow the title’s intended demographic is as opposed to genuine criticism. Not a F1 fan with precision and patience? Skip this game. The inverse is also true. Having said the above, it would be foolish to dismiss the superb presentation, precision found only through the constant refining of a product over time, and the plethora of modes meant to immerse a player into the F1 racing culture.

Andy Mahood · Oct 09, 2013 Reviewed on X360 - While F1 2013 is certainly improved over 2012, like the subtle new lighting effects, most of those changes don't make for substantial additions. The move to include features from past eras is a promising step for the future of the series, but carving out half of that content as DLC leaves the remainder as a briefly entertaining pit stop before moving on to business as usual.
Daniel Bloodworth · Oct 08, 2013 Reviewed on PS3 - F1 2013 delivers the best experience the franchise has offered to date.
Phil Iwaniuk · Oct 07, 2013 Reviewed on PS3 - F1 2013 is not a startling improvement from the already robust F1 2012, but it’s certainly Codemasters’ best and most confident crack at F1 to date. It looks good, sounds good, feels good, and is crammed with plenty to do. More than ever, F1 2013 requires the right combination of patience, finesse, and aggression to fight your way towards your goals (which won’t always be outright victory, and races are all the more believable for it).
Luke Reilly · Oct 03, 2013 Reviewed onRead full review - In a sport that symbolizes the cutting edge of car technology and the pinnacle of racing, the F1 series' slow progress is a contradiction. I enjoy the racing itself, but that only counts for so much. It's getting to the point that I'd rather see how other series like Forza incorporate F1 cars rather than play this franchise – and that's a bad sign.
Matthew Kato · Oct 03, 2013 Reviewed on - F1 2013 is a solid outing for the series, taking the successes of the past and building on them incrementally, whilst adding an exciting glimpse of what’s to come with F1 Classics. It might leave me wanting more, but F1 2013 is the best and most comprehensive release so far.
Stefan L · Oct 03, 2013 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - It's pole position once again for Codemasters' F1, despite a lack of any real, meaningful changes over F1 2012 beyond the addition of F1 Classics. F1 2013 is still a superb racer, but we're expecting big things for next year. Go! Go! Go!
