    The best trait of Evolution is that it relies on players’ skill more than luck. With future development on the horizon, we will probably see a lot of new content, new formats, new single-player adventures, competitive seasons and more. Evolution stands a bit higher than usual card game, not only because it’s for 4 players, but also because it’s more accessible in many ways and has longer-term viability than most other card games.

    Evolution is a solid board game and this mobile version is pretty good, though not immaculate. There’s some elements of chance here, and a healthy dose of clunkiness, but the underlying game is capable of cutting through these issues for the most part to provide a solid multiplayer experience.

    So where do we sit with Evolution? Its a little weird comparing the usual 2 player head to head gameplay with Evolution‘s 4 player configuration, but even so I think there is in many ways more game here that is immediately accessible and has a longer term viability than most other card brawlers. With promises of further development we could see new formats, new single player adventures, competitive seasons and more added on in the future. I hope the price tag doesn’t scare players off because this one is worth every penny.

    The board game version of Evolution has evolved into a fun, strategic and streamlined digital game. We are still finding new ways to create the ultimate apex species and seeing as though the board game has gotten a few expansions, it is likely the digital version will also see a few updates in the future.
